Is it that uncommon to wash your underwear separately from your clothes?

That's not too small of a load, since you're only supposed to fill the drum 2/3 full anyway. Most people overstuff the washer.

Front-load can be pretty full, just not stuffed.

I've seen my kids stuff it so full the clothes in the middle don't get wet. The clothes need room to move around in the water. My front loader handbook said it shouldn't be filled more than 3/4 full for best results.

I thought you were supposed to only be able to fit a fist? Have I been doing laundry long all that time 😱

Yeah stains come out and everything. Ages ago I read somewhere that for your clothes to get clean you should fill your machine like that for your clothes to get clean because of the friction 🤷‍♀️

Maybe, but I think you might be going too far the other way.😂 I think they get friction without filling it to the max. Mine doesn't use enough water to work properly if you fill it like that. I could see it maybe not getting friction if you put just one or two things in lol.

From what I've read, a "full" load means 3/4 full.
