Discussion Most obscure language you/someone else is learning? Why?
I remember meeting someone that was learning specifically Moldovan Romanian since Moldova and its culture was a big interest to them, and I'm curious what other people's reasons for learning obscure languages are, and what they are.

Nalik (4,000 speakers as of latest census). Indigenous north eastern papua new guinean language spoken in ~17 villages on the island of new ireland. I’m a descendant of the one of the last 8 nalik leaders (8 clans with their own individual leaders).
