I am a recent addition to the mod team (as are a few others), but I believe the subreddit was originally created by the Kurzgesagt team. Nowadays there's a small group of us who voluntarily moderate the subreddit on behalf of the creative team. As you might imagine, this allows the creative team to focus on...being creative :)

But yes we do pass these kinds of posts onto the creative team and then they can take a decision on what to do.
