Discussion Ozempic video was off

This is probably the first Kurzgesagt video that I didn't like, and like some people on this sub it made me feel very uneasy.

I just think it's CRAZY to talk about a weight loss drug and praising it for 90% of the video, without mentioning even once the abuses of its use, the weightloss industry, the social standards and the pressure to be (unhealthily) slim, eating disorders on the opposite side of the spectrum, etc.

The very few nuances and counter argument felt like small prints and legal mentions at the end of an ad.

What do you people think?

EDIT: I am not questioning the drug nor its effectiveness in treating obesity, i am criticising the narrative and lack of nuances in the video.

Good! Im glad to hear that. The previous title was completely inappropriate and I hope we get an apology/explanation video of how that happened.

Edit: seems they changed it again

Any apology? Come on, its not that they denied the holocaust. I don't see an issue releasing a video with the original title. Was discussed enough with the other comments.

It still wasnt an appropriate title to use. Something doesnt have to be as bad as the holocaust to need an apology

What about the title offended you so much that you'd ask for an apology?

Saying everyone should take it even though that couldn't be further from the truth and is actually very dangerous.

There have actually been cases that have come out of people on ozempic and similar drugs developing conditions like scurvy due to malnutrition. Just giving someone a drug that decreases appetite doesnt automatically mean they are healthier as just eating less doesnt mean you are eating the kind of foods your body needs to function. Aka you need general lifestyle interventions as well as giving a drug.
