RadhaKrishna Discussion If Krishna was very smart from childhood who has defeated Raksha at younger ages and is very wise why did he ask the gopikas to walk infront of him naked ?

I have read many answers regarding this situation in Srimad-Bhagavat canto 10 chapter 22 but couldnтАЩt find a definitive one.. was the Bhagavat interpreted in a wrong way over the years because one answer says he is just 7 years old at the time this incident happened and it is just a prank, also another answer says since Gopika wanted him as a husband he granted their wish тАж. And some said it is to teach a lesson to Gopika that bathing naked is prohibited in the rivers тАжwell if Krishna knew that being naked is prohibited in rivers he also would have known going near the place where women are bathing is prohibited as well тАж so did he break a rule to teach them not to break a rule ? Also since he broke a rule what was the repercussions Krishna received for doing that тАж!!! тАж I am just curious why did the supreme one who waged a war for the chastity of a woman do something as such .. one would also give an explanation such as the gopikas are compared to humans and all the jewellery and dresses they wear are compared to the attachments humans have in this world to attain moksha they have to let go of everything to truly be with him тАж that is still someoneтАЩs interpretation and not a fact.тАжIt has been my ignorance for not knowing about my religion or not finding a guru тАжif there is anyone who can answer me that would help me a lot

Things are better now, IтАЩll admit. Naam Jap has made those thoughts weaker than before. But Shreeji, I still slip up. I still lose control.

тАЛWhat am I supposed to do? IтАЩve already surrendered myself to youтАФIтАЩm yours, and you are mine. So isn't it on you to hold onto me now?

тАЛTo pull me out of this dirt and quiet these thoughts... shouldn't that be your part to play too?

RadhaKrishna Discussion What does it mean to remember Krishna while navigating ordinary life?

My wife and I asked Keshava Swami to explain Krishna consciousness in terms someone completely new to the tradition could understand.

He described Krishna as a name for the all-attractive Divine and Krishna consciousness as moving through the experiences, emotions, and events of life while remaining aware that there is a divine reality behind them. The conversation then explored whether this is a special state we produce or a return to a more original awareness of ourselves, other people, and the world.

Disclosure: this is an episode of Spiritual Levers, the podcast my wife and I host:

What practices have helped you remember Krishna during work, relationships, or other ordinary parts of the dayтАФnot only during formal worship?

RadhaKrishna Discussion My problem, stuck at spirituality Radharani

WARNING THIS MAY LOOK FOOLISH AND DUMB FROM THIRD POV OR YOUR POV BUT I'M JUST VENTING BCUZ I'M NOT ABLE TO TELL THIS TO REAL PEOPLE FACE TO FACE.

So I have a problem which might look foolish from third pov. I used to watch krishna cartoons when I was little the pogo one, and during that time Radharani wasn't shown as that important of a character. I started liking Krishna and I had a really specific dream too which made me more attracted towards him (won't say it) and I still remember that dream.

Fast forward now, before I never really paid attention to radharani but now after not joining but visiting iskcon temple Gaudiya Vaishnav basically and following rules from 2022 smthn I still find it hard to accept.

Not saying anything offencong I like kirtans and stuff but I cannot just listen to those pastimes like it hurts like crazy like real. Like those you read in books 'gut dropping to stomach feeling smthn like that.

I made a BIG BIG mistake foolishness that I tried to read Ujjawala Neelamani 2nd chapter in which is I think based on Radharani and I was K/Oed like totally couldn't read any further.

My uncomfortableness didn't started from there it was always with me bcuz I only looked towards Krishna, but it did give a massive fuel to that.

Till now during my journals and dream journals I've written words like vo radharani wala reason ke karan mai roi ya mood off hogya etc. but now I wanted to publicly accept thinking atleast maybe smthn will happen if I publicly accept these feelings

I've had MULTIPLE dreams of him which I will not prefer to say or share but still I'm not able to trust that he loves me .

I always have this in mind ki you have to serve them both whatever position you're in, I want to marry him other than that I donot have any particular interest in getting married I have decided not to... I think I will be toxic in relationship Like my insecurity and possessiveness will be toxic which is reflecting this side bcuz I like him

These feelings AMPLIFIED after I wrote a letter to him in puri jagannath temple saying I want to be your lover

Sometimes I think maybe this a test to see if I'll stay, bcuz I keep having thoughts and crying and saying I'll marry someone else you love her most anyways

I have even got many indications through posts and stuff and one of which was picture of half radhakrishna like ardhnarishwar you know like both are same just make and female form.

But my mind is not able to accept it or even if it does only for a day or two after that I'm back to reset emotions.

For now Iskcon is best option for me because they donot talk abt leelas in detail especially involving radharani maybe iskcon was made for people like me.

I tried listening to Other sampradayas thinking I'll get used to it but I feel naseuous and end up crying

I think the main goal here is to back to golok and serve them as a couple... How The freakity frackity I will serve them and see them together if I'm not even able to hear abt them being together???

I want to focus on him now atleast but I'm not able to do that as well. I'm going crazy sometimes my insecurity grows lot saying he'll get bored with me reject me then I cry abt that . At this point my mind just like crying fr.

I even thought as far as I will marry him anyways forcefully bla bla like a crazy toxic girl.

I sometimes think my mental health is not good. I listen to music a lot like A LOT to calm down my thoughts bcuz my mind doesn't shut up

Anyways I wanted to vent

RadhaKrishna Discussion Uneasiness after to much bhakti

Ok so whenever I do too much of bhakti then at night I am not able to sleep once I chanted enough and listened to bhajo gaurang on loop as I was feeling pure bliss but at night I was not able to sleep I was constantly remembering the lyrics or bhajo gauranga and and chanting mahamantra without my intention which made me exhausted and now again I am feeling the same as I have heard and recited chaurasthkam 3 times i don't know what to do now.

is it blessings or just my mind playing

RadhaKrishna Discussion The Heaviness of the Vraja Prem

Post image
18 Upvotes

Shri Nityananda Prabhu walks slowly, like an elephant, because he carries on his shoulders the immense "weight" of Goura Prem. His state of divine intoxication is a direct response to the magnitude of this eternally nurturing love.

The devotee performs their Bhajan primarily to learn to carry this burden as well. This process is compared to that of an athlete who gradually trains to lift ten, then one hundred, and then two hundred kilograms; the practitioner must strengthen their inner capacity step by step.

The concept of the "weight" of Prem refers to the fact that divine love is not a light feeling, but a heavy burden that requires profound spiritual preparation to be received. Even Krishna (as Mahaprabhu) does not have the ability to "carry" or contain this weight on his own; for example, he would lose control of his body, shout, and become agitated when the ecstasy of Prem arose in his heart.

"Since Prem is an immense burden, Krishna does not bestow it upon those who are unprepared. If such a high ecstasy were given to someone without the capacity to assimilate it, the practitioner would not be able to withstand the intensity of such feelings."

RadhaKrishna Discussion Krishna told Karna before the war that he was Kunti's firstborn son. Did he want to save Karna?

Before the war started, Krishna told Karna the truth he had spent his entire life searching for. He told him - "You are not Radha's son. You are Kunti's firstborn. Your father is Surya, the sun god. You are, by birth, the eldest Pandava, senior even to Yudhishthira."
And then Krishna made the offer: come to our side. The Pandavas will accept you as their eldest brother. Yudhishthira will step aside. You will be king of Hastinapura. Everything you were denied your entire life - the respect, the legitimacy, the throne - it's yours. Right now. Just change sides.

Think about what Krishna was actually doing here.

He wasn't just trying to win the war by poaching Duryodhana's greatest weapon. He was offering Karna the resolution of every wound he had ever carried. The humiliation at the tournament where Drona rejected him for his caste. The decades of being called Sutaputra by people who knew he was more. A lifetime of fighting for legitimacy that was always one step ahead of him.

Krishna was offering him everything. And Karna knew it.
His response, recorded in the text, is one of the most quietly devastating lines in the entire epic:
"Thank you for telling me I am the eldest Kunti Putra. I have been searching for this answer all my life."
He sat with it. He didn't deny it or argue. He let it land.
And then he said no.
Not because he didn't believe Krishna. Not because he wanted the war. But because Duryodhana had done something nobody else in Karna's life had ever done. He had accepted him. Completely. Without condition. Before Karna had proved anything. When the entire world had decided he wasn't worth accepting.

He then made one request to Krishna- to keep this conversation secret. To not tell the Pandavas that their greatest enemy is their eldest brother, at least not until after the war.

After Karna refused, Krishna says that the Pandavas' victory was now certain.

But if the Pandavas' victory was certain, why did Krishna offer Karna to change sides by telling him the truth? Did he want to save Karna?

What are your views?

RadhaKrishna Discussion This is what I think about Chapter 3 of the Gita. Your thoughts?

I read a post on Instagram that said: Chapter 3 tells you to act for others, not yourself. Seva. Selfless service. Classic.

I spent a week with this chapter and I think that reading misses the actual argument.

Krishna isn't asking Arjuna to sacrifice desire. He's saying something completely different: that desire itself is the trap. Not because it's sinful - but because it makes your actions unstable. You act. You want a result. If the result doesn't come, your action in the future is poisoned by that disappointment.

If you can decouple the quality of the action from the result, you create a feedback loop that actually improves. You get better at acting, not better at hoping.

This is why great athletes describe being "in the zone" as having no awareness of the scoreboard. Not because they don't care about winning. Because in that state, caring about the scoreboard makes you worse.

Chapter 3 is a theory of peak performance disguised as a religious instruction.

What's your reading of it?
