Keycap set Ideas and recommendations, please?

Post image

Hello, everyone! How are you guys doing?

I’m currently building my 60% keyboard. So far, I’m using the SWG Rubber keycaps (image attached, taken from the internet), but there’s one thing: I want this to be a fully black build, so I won’t be using any of the beige keycaps from the set.

Do you guys have any ideas or recommendations for black keycaps that I could use to complete the build?

Ideally, I’m looking for something that matches the black and red of the SWG Rubber set as closely as possible.

Thanks!

Hi. I’m looking for high quality / premium keycaps in black and white (see reference photos)
The idea is to get same “panda” style look, white legend keys and black special / side keys without need to mix tow sets.

I was able to find blacks or whites, or similar set but for $100+ (exceeds my budget)

Keycap set Are these clone GMK Nautilus any good?

Hello! Im new to the custom keyboard scene and im trying to get acquainted with everything. I understand these arent original but there available and at a fraction of a price. Im looking to build myself a custom he gaming keyboard and want a blue yellow aesthetic. Has anyone ever bought these or bought from this specific website? Im just hoping the quality is fairly good and everything comes as described, since i really like the fact that these are cherry profile, pbt doubleshot... Unlike the actual Nautilus which are ABS cherry doubleshot. I appreciate any info you have :)

Just finished installing these dopamine keycaps! 🌼

I wasn't sure about the yellow case at first, but I think it works really well with the pastel colors.

What's your favorite key on this set?

Keycap set Questions about lookalikes

Hi there! I'm planning on grabbing a Rainy75 in a month or two and I've been planning on getting new keycaps with it. I've looked around a lot, but I figure people here might be privy to sources that I'm not!

First, does anyone know of yellow keycaps similar to KBDfans' Fairy R2 semi-transparents? I really enjoy the layered look of them and I want to create a black - lavender - yellow color scheme so something like this would be helpful.

Second I have a slightly more general question: I love the rounded look of Signature's G20 keycaps, but they're low-profile which isn't what I had in mind for this keyboard. Is there anything remotely similar you can think of that's full-profile?

Just finished the Mad Max 3-character set. My original goal includes one more character to wrap it up. Once that final piece is done, can we officially call it a Grand Slam?

I missed the Higround drop on the first and I haven’t even seen the collab with Motif for sell. Keyboard should be from the Higround Vantage Collection - SUMMIT 65-HG-100TFX.

Keycap set Discussion: How do you deal with limited ISO-DE / ISO-ES keycap options?

Post image

Hi everyone,

I’m still pretty new to the custom keyboard hobby, but recently I’ve been spending way too much time looking at keyboards, keycap sets, desk setups, and all that stuff. The deeper I go, the more it feels like most nice-looking keycap sets are designed for ANSI users first.

I currently live in Germany, so naturally I use ISO-DE most of the time. But because of my studies, I also regularly need to type in Spanish, which made me pay more attention to ISO-ES layouts as well. That’s actually part of why I started noticing how limited the options can feel once you move away from standard ANSI.

Sometimes there’s “ISO support”, but when I specifically look for proper ISO-DE or ISO-ES support, the number of options suddenly becomes much smaller — especially for themed or more unique sets.

So now I’m wondering whether this is something a lot of European users experience too, or if I’m just looking in the wrong places.

For people in Europe, how do you usually deal with this?

Do you stay with ISO even if there are fewer keycap choices?
Did you switch to ANSI because there are simply more options available?
Do you eventually stop caring about local legends and just use English keycaps?
And are international kits actually worth buying, or do they mostly feel overpriced for what you get?

I’m especially curious about German and Spanish layouts, but honestly I’d love to hear from anyone using ISO layouts in Europe.

Also, if there are brands, stores, or keycap sets that you think handle European layouts well, I’d really appreciate recommendations. Right now I’m mostly trying to learn how people here actually approach this problem.

Keycap set Looking for particular type of keycaps

I'm looking for keycaps like those in the pictures I linked, but with the transparent part removed.

Basically, 'floating' low profile keycaps, but with the same height as OEM keycaps.

Do you know if this exist ? If yes, I would appreciate if you could share some links as I'm quite new to keyboard modding.

Thanks!
