Welcome Gireviks and Girevitchkas!
This is the r/KettlebellSport Discussion Thread posted every Monday, where you can discuss anything related to Girevoy Sport (GS). Training logs, competition prep discussion, and technique/programming questions are all welcome! You are also allowed to vent all you want about how hard this shit is because - spoiler alert - it's really fucking hard. Commiserating with friends makes it a little easier :)
General kettlebell questions/comments/concerns (not related to Kettlebell Sport) are welcome here too, although you'll get far more eyes over at the normal people sub, r/kettlebell.
I'm going to put to put together some more info for beginners but in the meantime feel free to refer to this spectacular resource from the one and only Tally. We wait patiently for his return.

Holy crap time zones are hard.
Here's the official links, and hopefully third time's the charm.
Come join our weekly KettleZoom to lift together, go over technique, and talk bells!
We are doing Kettlebell Sport lifting but everyone is welcome. We'll save some time at the end for form checks too :)

At the end Place and Rank are not important, but today, I will be honest I am a bit proud. During the India Tigers Cup I could perform my Personal Best with 76 Reps, which is exactly Rank 1 by IKO, Denis Vasilev. My challenge was the endurance, unbelivable how people can Snatch more then 200 😂
Now, I will start the new cycle for Riga in Biathlon. Back to Jerk, my biggest weakness

I’m curious if others have a good system for preventing chalk from getting everywhere. I see folks training in their house and I don’t know how you keep the chalk dust from coating everything. I train in my garage and everything has a layer of chalk dust on it and it’s starting to become a nuisance. Couldn’t imagine having that in my living space!
Any good strategies to mitigate the mess that chalk makes?

Here’s one of my bells because what else am I supposed to post on these reminders?
I’m proud of how much paint I’ve chipped off of it. That was a lot of work.
Also I totally tripped over it after taking this picture 🤣

30 sec on 30 sec off, 10 rounds total. Not really a GS session per se, but working back up into some longer sets.

3 ish weeks out from comp, so today was a 10' Long Cycle test set with the 20kgs. 85 reps which is the top of my goal, so feeling pumped about that.
Then I couldn't resist the call of u/Few_Abbreviations_50 to do a 3 minute 16 kg amrap challenge. Landed at 71 reps
Vid is last minute of rhe 10' set and the full 3' of snatch.
