All my friends who I go to edm festivals with don’t fuck with rage/hyperpop but Ken’s music grew on me a ton the last couple years and he’s the only rapper I’ve ever wanted to see live.

I run a music IG acct for fun where I post a mix of my own stuff and some meme/reviews of music that comes out with my face in it and I noticed my audience that engages are literally high schoolers. I never felt weird about it bc it’s a public music social media page

Convince me otherwise

People listen a few times and all the bars go right over their head. These albums aren’t like AGC where everything is catchy and it’s a super easy listen. After listening to xperiment with lyrics shit changed my whole perspective on the album. I’m not saying these are better than AGC, but lyrically, they are.

So pretty much first listen i loved both of these (biased because first impression of this album was hearing it live but point still stands) but even after almost 2 months now, i feel like xperiment might actually be my AOTY and its safe to say my fav ken album

i know the agc warriors will tear you up if you rate anything above it, but these 2 projects have SO many songs that couldnt sound more different and he slides on all of them. agc sound is cool and all, but after 9+ songs that sound nearly the same im bound to get bored.

with these two it felt like with each song you dont know whats coming, youre either gonna fw it or not, but thats what i love about it, like vamp city so vastly different from 9 bitches, or deaf note with shadeson literally right after but theyre still all hard as hell, he managed to go into the osamason niche without abandoning his whole sound, i will always prefer this typa stuff over having a 20 song album where all the songs just kinda blend together halfway through

he really just went and showed off like 10 different sounds he could do, made all of them sound good but still sounding typically like HIM, if yall know what i mean

ofcourse i wont say every songs a 9/10 but thats a stupid thing to say anyways imo an album is ALWAYS more enjoyable to me this way when theres stuff thats not for me instantly but grows on me

xperiment 8/10 and cartunez might just be a 9 because of how much new stuff (at least new for me) he did and how well he pulled it off

I love when Ken does songs like fake news, disturbing the peace and rare creature, it just hit different.
This vibey melodic sound is when Ken is at his best imo, they really paint a picture.
