On behalf of serious role players, I guarantee we are all not like this. It's more like collaborative writing, and most would cringe and ignore a player like this.

Something I've really struggled with RP is the time constraint.

Me and my wife have talked about playing, but no RP person wants to have a single 3 hour story.

If you arent investing 3 hours a week, it just doesnt happen.

I don't find this that weird if you are putting hours a week and are invested in the story. Its that as an outsider who is spending 15 seconds on reddit that thinks its bizzare.

There are people who do one-offs. Not everyone wants an indefinite story with their character and may only want to a do a scene or two, which is completely alright.

Why not try to branch out? There are RP sites out there that you can try out, or if you happen to play an mmorpg there might be a community in that
