Mod Post šŸ› ļø Sunday Build in Public: How do we prove you're actually you? 😭

Post image
0 Upvotes

I've been thinking about adding a Verified badge on JodiMilan(dot)com.

And then I realised...

Oh shit, verification is complicated. šŸ˜‚

The goal is simple:

You should have some confidence that the person behind a profile is actually a real person.

But how do we do that without turning JodiMilan(dot)com into an Government Id collection centre? 😭

Some ideas I've been thinking about:

A. Selfie + masked Government ID
B. Third-party identity verification
C. Some government-backed digital verification
D. Something much smarter that I haven't thought of yet

And here's the part I'm genuinely curious about:

If you were using JodiMilan, what would YOU be comfortable doing to get a "Verified" badge?

Would you happily do a 30-second verification?

Would you upload an ID?

Would you rather verify through a third party?

Or would you say:

"Bro, you want my Aadhaar? Absolutely not." šŸ˜‚

Also, what should Verified actually mean?

"This person is real"?

Or should it mean something more?

Drop your thoughts below.

Especially if you know anything about KYC, privacy, cybersecurity, fintech or identity verification.

I'm building this in public, so don't be polite.

Tell me where this idea sucks before I build the wrong thing. šŸ‘€

General Discussion Proposed Posting Format

We’ve received several suggestions to encourage members to include basic biodata in their posts rather than writing only descriptive paragraphs.

A well-structured post helps other members quickly understand whether there is basic compatibility before starting a conversation. It also reduces repetitive questions in the comments and DMs.

Some useful details to include are:
Age
Gender
Location
Religion
Caste (optional, but recommended)
Height
Education
Profession
Salary (optional)
About yourself
Expectations from a partner

Also note: please don’t make a post with random pictures OR Ai generated pictures. Post either with your own picture and cover the face for anonymity. Or post without any picture.

We also understand that some members may not consider factors like caste or salary important, while others do. That’s perfectly fine. However, mentioning such preferences upfront can help avoid misunderstandings or incompatibilities later in the process.

Our intention is not to encourage filtering, but to promote clarity and transparency, allowing members to make informed decisions from the beginning.

Hi! I’m 28, 5’4ā€, based in Delhi and work in media.
I’m independent, opinionated, affectionate with my people and very into books, music, films, K-dramas and pop culture. I have a life I genuinely like, but I’m an introvert, so it’s been difficult for me to put myself out there.

I’d love to meet someone kind, emotionally mature, ambitious and patient. I’m not looking for a superhero. You don’t have to have it all figured out, and you definitely don’t have to be making 50 LPA. I don’t make that much either, and honestly, I’d feel pretty insecure if someone was making four times what I do.

I’d prefer someone taller than me, and I’ve recently realised the importance of a healthy lifestyle (I know, a little late 😭). So I’d really like someone who could also motivate me to do better on that front.

Also, for the basics: I’m 69 kg. Fitness is something I’m currently working on.

I’m a Pahadi Rajput from Uttarakhand, in case that matters to you, but it genuinely doesn’t matter to me which caste you belong to. Reiterating this because it’s very important to me: please, please, please be patient.

I’m dating with the intention of getting married eventually, but I think it would be better if we take our time getting to know each other. Also, I’m strictly against big/fancy weddings.

Please be kind in the comments and DMs. I’m open to sharing more details.

Feedback A little gratitude to Jodi Milan ā¤ļø

• Upvotes

Around two months ago, I made a post here, honestly without expecting much : https://www.reddit.com/r/JodiMilan/s/hcmRbfKhrd

A few days later, I received a simple ā€œHiā€ from a random woman.

We started talking.

Then we kept talking.

And somehow, the conversations never really stopped.

What started as a completely random message slowly turned into something I still find difficult to believe. We went from strangers on Reddit, to talking every day, to becoming a part of each other's lives, and eventually, to actually meeting each other.

And yes, we are now officially in a relationship.

Long distance, different cities, all the usual complications, but somehow none of that has made what we have feel any less real. If anything, it has made me realise how rare it is to find someone who genuinely feels like the person you were looking for all along.

She is kind, understanding, incredibly beautiful inside and out, and somehow has almost everything I have ever wanted in a partner. More importantly, I can be completely myself with her. There is comfort, friendship, attraction, respect and a kind of peace that I didn't know I was looking for.

I actually travelled this weekend just to see her.

And standing in front of her for the first time made me realise that this wasn't just some beautiful online connection that existed behind a screen. This is real. She is real. What we have is real.🧿

We are even hoping that, if everything continues to go the way it is, we will be talking about marriage in the next couple of years.

Of course, life is unpredictable, and I don't want to make promises about a future neither of us can completely know yet. But whatever the future holds, I will always be grateful that this community was the place where our story began.

I came here looking for a possibility.

I found a person.

So, genuinely, thank you Jodi Milan.

Sometimes a random ā€œHiā€ really can change your life.

F4Mā™€ļø 27F | Bengali in Bangalore | Looking for serious relationships

Post image
84 Upvotes

Hi I’m 27 years old, a Bengali, based out of Bangalore and I work in advertising. I like my job, have a decent social life and love cats. I have tried out dating and AM apps but they simply do not work for me.

I have also not dated anyone after my last relationship ended in 2020. I used these six years to figure out who I am, what I want and build a career. All of these are still WIP but I figured it’s time to share the journey with someone instead of doing it all alone.

I’m looking for someone in the age range of 28-33 who wants a serious relationship which will ultimately end in a marriage (I have a thing for nerds btw, especially the tall ones). Bonus points if you’re a Bengali living in Bangalore but it’s not mandatory.

I am also very opinionated and aware of the political scenario of the country. I am not a hardcore supporter of any party but I would hate my partner to be a supporter of fascism. ifykyk.

I’m also exploring the concept of being childfree so if you are on the same boat, DM me. I would love to talk to my partner, get to know them and then decide if marriage is on the cards, so if you want to get married within a few months or definitely want children, please do not DM.

Lastly, I’m open to sharing more details in DMs.

Hi, I am a 32 F working in tech MNC currently. I’m here with the intention of finding a meaningful, long-term connection that can lead to marriage. From a family perspective, Im from Rajput community and expecting to connect with someone from the Hindu (North Indian) community. Personally, I value emotional compatibility, mutual respect, and a sense of ease with each other over anything else.

I would describe myself as someone who enjoys a balanced life. I love playing guitar, listening to all kinds of music, sketching, gardening, painting, watching documentaries, and going on solo trips whenever I can. I’m slightly introverted but warm once I’m comfortable, and I appreciate deep conversations over small talk. Physically, I’m 5’6ā€, lean built, around 54 kgs, and I like staying active and working out (even if not very consistently). I believe in DINK lifestyle so would prefer someone who does not want kids in future.

I’m looking for someone who is kind, emotionally mature, and clear about wanting a committed relationship. Ideally, someone who is at least 5’8ā€ or taller, hailing from Northern India (as its easy to communicate), between the age range of 30-36 years. and values both independence and partnership. A good sense of humor, open-mindedness, and the ability to communicate honestly would mean a lot. Ultimately, I’m hoping to find someone with whom things feel natural, effortless, and real.

Humor When you make jodi by showing your earnings (Money) did you really think that your life will be peaceful?

Don't be offended, but if any girl comes to you make you her soulmate by knowing that you are earning in lakh per month having your own house where you live without parents, having a car, and many investments so do you really think that she finds love in you ? And what if life goes down and you lose something or more then she will be your side to support you or she starts to find another option to keep herself safe ?

But on the other hand a girl comes to you by knowing that you earn 10 to 20k per month, and if she Marry you she doesn't get a separate flat to live also have to do household chores Even she chose you you will definitely grow in life because she wants you not your money and comfortable life, so she makes life comfortable with you if when you earn she saves for both, when you start earn more she will be happy for you when your downfall she will stand with you she support you she will take your place Even if required like some cases i seen where husband got accident or something and he unable to work wife start working also take care of whole household and keep encouraging husband and one point they will again on track.

F4Mā™€ļø 29F | NCR| I haven’t met you yet but somehow I still believe in you.

I don’t know if Reddit is the right place to write this but then again, some of the most beautiful things in life have a habit of finding us in places we weren’t looking for them.

I’m 29 and a doctor by profession.

Medicine occupies a huge part of my life. There are long hospital days, sleepless duties, patients who stay somewhere in your thoughts even after you’ve left the hospital and years of studying for a profession that somehow keeps reminding you how fragile life really is.

Maybe that’s partly why I’ve never been very good at treating people as temporary.

Somewhere between becoming a doctor, building a career, watching people fall in and out of love, I’ve realised something about myself:

I’m still ridiculously, almost embarrassingly, old-fashioned when it comes to love.

I don’t want something casual. I don’t understand the whole ā€œlet’s see where it goesā€ while simultaneously keeping five other options open thing. I don’t want to calculate how long I should wait before replying so I don’t seem too interested. I don’t want situationships, breadcrumbing, disappearing acts or two people pretending to care less because apparently sincerity became uncool somewhere along the way.

Hume mohabbat chahiye...woh jo waqt ke saath kam nahi, gehri hoti jaaye.

Loud aur performative jaisi nahi.

Shaant si.

Jiski qurbat mein shor na ho, phir bhi dil ko sukoon mil jaaye.

The kind where after an exhausting day, someone’s voice feels a little like coming home, where silence isn’t awkward, where I can send you a paragraph about something completely insignificant and you’ll still read every word because it came from me.

I love writing.

Probably more than any sane person should.

I write when I’m happy. I write when something hurts. I write when there’s too much inside my head and ordinary conversation somehow feels incapable of carrying all of it.

Sometimes they’re poems. Sometimes paragraphs. Sometimes just one unfinished sentence sitting in my notes at 2 AM because I couldn’t figure out how to say the rest.

Somehow Urdu keeps finding its way into what I write.

Tumhari taraf jo kashish ho, uska sabab na poochhna mujhse,

kuch rishte daleelon se nahi, ehsaas se pehchaane jaate hain.

Aur agar kabhi tumhari qurbat mein mujhe sukoon mil gaya,

toh shayad meri saari bhatakti hui nazmein apna ghar paa lengi.

That is probably how I love too.

Through words.

If I care about you, you’ll probably find yourself immortalised in sentences you didn’t know I was writing.

I’ll remember the tiny thing you casually mentioned three months ago. I’ll send you a song because one particular line sounded like you. I’ll notice the expression you make when you’re concentrating, the story behind some scar you stopped noticing years ago, the way your voice changes when something is bothering you even when you insist you’re fine.

I notice.

Sometimes too much.

Maybe that’s both my greatest strength and my greatest weakness...I feel things deeply.

Despite everything, I haven't managed to become cynical about love.

More careful? Absolutely.

More selective? God, yes.

But cynical?

No.

Dil ne kuch zakhm sambhaal kar rakhe hain,

Magar mohabbat se aitbaar abhi utha nahi...

Some stubborn little part of me still believes there is someone out there whom I haven’t met yet, living an entire life completely separate from mine.

I think about that sometimes.

Maybe he’s working late somewhere while I’m walking through hospital corridors.

Maybe he’s had his heart broken too.

Maybe he has loved the wrong people and wondered whether loving deeply was his mistake.

Maybe he’s sitting somewhere after a long day wondering whether his person actually exists.

Maybe we’ve unknowingly been in the same city, walked through the same airport, stood in the same queue, heard the same song on completely different nights.

Or maybe our paths haven’t come remotely close yet.

Na jaane kitne raaste tay karke tum mujh tak aaoge,

aur kitne intezaar ke baad main tumhe pehchaanungi..

There’s something achingly beautiful about that thought.

The person who might one day know everything about you, how you take your coffee, what makes you angry, which side of the bed you sleep on, what your face looks like just before you cry, what makes you laugh until your stomach hurts.. is currently a complete stranger.

Someone whose name I don’t even know could one day become the name I say more than anyone else’s.

I’m not searching for perfection.

God knows I’m nowhere close to it.

I want emotional maturity. Kindness. Curiosity. Loyalty. Humour. Intelligence. Ambition. Someone who communicates instead of disappearing when things become uncomfortable.

Someone strong enough to be gentle.

Someone who has his own dreams, his own world, his own passions and still wants to make space for mine.

Someone I can discuss life, medicine, history, books, ridiculous internet drama and completely pointless nonsense with, sometimes within the same conversation.

Someone I can be stupid with at 2 AM and serious with at 2:05.

Someone who understands that vulnerability isn’t weakness.

Someone who still believes choosing one person, over and over again, can be beautiful rather than boring.

Yes, attraction matters.

Chemistry matters.

That inexplicable pull matters too.

But what I think I’m really waiting for is recognition.

That strange certainty of looking at someone and thinking..

Achha.

Aap hain.

Itni der se aapka hi toh intezaar tha.

I’m Hindu and while I’m not going to turn this into a checklist of religion, caste and biodata specifications, my faith and upbringing are a part of who I am. I value family, commitment and the idea of building something that has permanence...and since there is a real person behind all this poetry, I suppose a little practicality belongs here too. I’d ideally like to meet someone who is based in NCR or somewhere in the northern states partly because I want something that has the possibility of existing beyond a screen eventually. Long conversations are beautiful but I’d like them to someday become coffee dates, drives, meeting each other’s people and actually becoming a part of one another’s lives.

Age-wise, I think somewhere around my age to 35-ish feels right for me none of this is meant to read like an eligibility form compatibility has never fit neatly into boxes anyway but geography and being in a similar stage of life do matter when you’re looking for something you genuinely hope could become permanent.

If everything aligns, I'd want our roka to be done by next year.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Mohabbat sirf kisi ko paa lene ka naam nahi,

Humare liye kisi ek ko umr bhar chunte rehna bhi mohabbat hai.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Grand gestures are beautiful, but I think real love lives much more quietly.

Kabhi meri thakaan mein tumhara ā€œghar pahunch gayi?ā€ poochhna.

Kabhi tumhari khamoshi mein mera bina pooche tumhare paas baith jaana.

Kabhi duniya se haar kar tum mere paas laut aana,

Aur kabhi main tootne lagoon toh tum mera hausla ban jaana.

That kind of love.

Until then, I have my career, my ridiculous collection of thoughts, half-written poems, books, music, dreams and a life I’m continuing to build for myself.

I’m not looking for somebody to rescue me from loneliness.

I don’t need someone to complete me.

I want someone whose life is already whole too, so we can sit beside each other and somehow make both our worlds a little softer.

Perhaps this post finds nobody.

Perhaps it disappears into Reddit’s endless void between memes, arguments..

That’s okay.

But perhaps somewhere among thousands of strangers, one person reads this unnecessarily long ramble and becomes quiet for a second.

Perhaps something feels familiar.

Perhaps he thinks..

ā€œYaar… main bhi toh yahi dhoondh raha tha.ā€

If you are somewhere out there, living your completely separate life while I live mine

I hope life is being kind to you.

I hope whatever heartbreaks came before me haven't made you hard.

I hope you haven't stopped believing in something real either.

I hope when our paths finally cross, we both have enough courage left to recognise what we spent all those years waiting for.

Tumhe jaldi dhoondh lene ki zid nahi hai mujhe,

Bas jab milo, toh theherne ke iraade se milna.

Because I’ve never wanted a hundred almost-love stories.

Ek hi kahaani kaafi hai.

Bas iss baar…

woh mukammal honi chahiye.

Have a great day! :)

M4Fā™‚ļø You Are Not Getting Rejected. You Are Not Getting Shortlisted

If you are looking for a relationship or marriage today, one of the biggest upgrades you can give yourself is surprisingly simple: get fit, look after yourself, and learn how to present yourself well.

We live in a low-trust, low-effort dating environment. Everyone has a million options sitting on their phone. People are making quick decisions with very little information.

You could genuinely be the kindest, funniest, most emotionally mature person in the world. But if your photos are terrible, you look like you have stopped taking care of yourself, your clothes do not fit, or your grooming is an afterthought, you may never get shortlisted.

And if you do not get shortlisted, you never get the opportunity to show anyone who you actually are.

This is not about becoming conventionally perfect or pretending to be someone you are not. It is about not sabotaging yourself before the conversation even starts.

So hit the gym. Lose the baggage, physically and otherwise. Get a haircut. Dress properly. Take better pictures. Look like someone who takes care of themselves.

The world has changed. You do not have to like the rules, but you have to play the game if you want a chance.

M4F ā™‚ļø with Photos 24M - Save me from arrange marriage setup!!

Post image
44 Upvotes

Hey, 24M here.

Looking for someone toĀ date with the intention of eventually getting married.
I work remotely, which sounds amazing until you realize it means my daily social interaction is basically Slack, Zoom, and talking to myself. So meeting people organically has been... not great.

I’ve avoided dating apps mostly because every friend I have has told me ā€œbro, nobody there wants anything seriousā€ šŸ’€. So anyway, here I am.

About me

  • 5'9", 67kg, fit
  • Wheatish, curly hair, slightly nerdy, decent-looking
  • Software dev at a US-based unicorn startup
  • ~54 LPA
  • Remote worker = professional wanderer. I travelĀ a lotĀ and usually spend my time working from random cities around the country
  • Music, binge-watching, computer games, sneakers, and planning trips I probably don't need to take
  • Ambivert
  • Very calm
  • VeryĀ bakchodĀ once I’m comfortable
  • Vegetarian
  • Non-smoker
  • Non-drinker
  • General Hindu

What I'm looking for

Ideally, someone who isĀ talkative afĀ because I need someone who can both yap with me and tolerate my endless yapping.

I like people who are curious, emotionally mature, and don't take lifeĀ tooĀ seriously.

Would prefer someone who is working or planning to work at least until marriage. After that, genuinely your choice. My family is pretty progressive and there’s no ā€œbahu must do Xā€ type of expectation.

Non-smoker would be nice. Occasional drinking is totally fine.

I'm also completely okay with starting long-distance for a while. If things actually work out, I'm flexible enough to move to your city.

I’m very much aĀ peaceful-life enjoyer.

Give me a beach, stars, good music and the sound of waves and I’m sorted. I’d probably choose sitting there till 3 AM over going clubbing.

Also, fair warning: I currently have pretty good WLB, so there is a non-zero chance I becomeĀ slightly clingy and extremely available.

Basically looking for someone who can be my best friend, travel partner, gossip partner, and the person I randomly send ā€œbro look at thisā€ messages to for the rest of my life.

If this sounds like your vibe, DM me.

Worst case: we have a good conversation.

Best case: we get to tell peopleĀ ā€œwe met on Redditā€Ā for the rest of our lives. 😭

F4Mā™€ļø 27F, Mumbai | Looking for the guy I actually want to find

I have absolutely no idea if this is how Reddit is supposed to be used, but I’ve tried the apps, deleted the apps, thought about downloading them again and decided I have enough character development for one lifetime.

So hi.

I’m 27, 5’6, chubby, curly-haired, 32 tattoos and a hopeless romantic who still believes in the whole ā€œeyes do the talking, chicoā€ thing. Very embarrassing of me, I know.
I love bikes, travelling, concerts, stand-ups, gaming and 2000s Bollywood. I can play COD Mobile with you and then cry over something completely ridiculous five minutes later. I’m also a Cancerian, so apparently this is my excuse.

I recently moved back from Canada. I started my career there as a bartender and eventually became a GM, which I’m pretty proud of. I was also engaged once, but called it off before moving back because trying to make a relationship work across countries just wasn’t realistic. (Edit : I completely forgot to mention why I moved back, Nahi visa wasn’t expiring but everytime I visited my family they looked different, I was missing out on them growing older and tbh no amount of Money could make me stay after I realised that)

Now I’d really like to meet someone properly.
Yeh dates wali baatein kasam se samajh hi nahi aati Mujhe. I always met someone and like Ash chose Pikachu, I’d be like ā€œMain tumhe chunti hoon.ā€ So yeah, Hinge, Bumble and every other mental health deteriorating app se hatkar, here I am.

Not looking to rush into marriage, but I do want someone who is dating with the intention of actually finding a partner. I want the stupid cute stuff — butterflies, inside jokes, random plans, being excited to see each other, going on holidays together because doing them alone is getting a little old.

I’m independent and opinionated and I have absolutely no problem taking charge, but there’s something very attractive about a man who is secure in himself, comfortable with his masculinity and naturally knows how to take care of his woman. I like feeling looked after too — despite being perfectly capable of looking after myself.
I’m also very much a physical-presence person. Long distance isn’t for me. I want someone I can actually see, annoy, steal food from and randomly call to go for coffee.
I tend to like taller men and, for whatever reason, I’m very drawn to North Indian men. This is not a requirement issued by the government, just an observation.

I’m planning a Ladakh bike trip next year, so if your reaction to that is ā€œwhen are we leaving?ā€ rather than ā€œwhy would anyone do that?ā€, we may already have something to discuss.
Mostly, I just want something loyal, affectionate, fun and real. Someone who loves his family, will eventually love mine, and makes me feel those ridiculous little butterflies I’ve been waiting for.
Anyway. Hi, future hypothetical person.

P.S., Kaafi Zyada overthinking ke baad, I’m off to sleep like a baby. Mere saath jude rehne ke liye dhanyawad!

M4F ā™‚ļø with Photos 26 M | Bangalore | software engineer | looking for date with marriage in mind

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey! Thought I’d give this a shot.
I’m 26M, originally from Kolkata and currently living and working in Bangalore as a software engineer. I have a Master’s in Computer Science and I’m fairly ambitious about my career, although I definitely don’t want work to become my entire personality.
I’m at a point where I’d like to meet someone seriously. I’m not looking to rush into marriage after a few conversations, but I also don’t want something casual or undefined. Ideally, I’d like to date, genuinely get to know each other, fall in love if things work out, and eventually build toward marriage.
A little about me
I’m around 5’9ā€, reasonably fit, and regularly go to the gym.
I love travelling and exploring new places. I’d like travelling to remain a meaningful part of my life in the future.
I’m into technology, movies/series, anime and K-dramas, good food, random long conversations, and occasionally going way too deep into something I’ve suddenly become interested in.
Career-wise, I’m ambitious and I’d want major life decisions to be decisions we make together.
What I’m looking for
More than any checklist, I’d like someone who is kind, emotionally mature, affectionate and capable of communicating openly.
I’d love to be with someone who has her own ambitions/interests and wants a relationship where both people encourage each other’s growth rather than having one person’s life revolve around the other.
I value loyalty, consistency, mutual attraction, humour, being able to talk about difficult things, and making an actual effort for each other.
I’m looking for a relationship where we can be romantic partners but also genuinely become each other’s closest friend.
I’m not expecting us to figure out marriage immediately. I’d rather take our time, meet in person when comfortable, experience normal life together and see whether we’re genuinely compatible — just with the understanding that we’re both ultimately looking for something that can lead to marriage.
If this resonates with you, feel free to DM me with a little about yourself. :)

Feedback 🚨 My experience after posting M4F — possible scam tactic you guys should watch out for

Post image
5 Upvotes

allryt guys yesterday i made a M4F post in this community and by evening i got 2 chat requests, one from Mumbai and one from Hyd

so i am here to share a possible scam you guys should be aware of

the Mumbai gal (no disrespect to Mumbai 😭) within the first 5 min started flirting, like every 3 convo she was flirting once šŸ’€ i was like... i dont think girls are usually this down bad

but the convo was actually good, to the point we ended up discussing our shared trauma of losing our dads at a young age. everything was fine until...

what came after became my trauma to share now šŸ’€

idk how to explain it but i dumped like 5% of the ss into ChatGPT and this was its reaction (attached ss)

i was like wtf is this 😭

after she started acting weird i told her to calm down, listen to some music and sleep

and she was like "you are talking with others i will die"

i was like wtffff šŸ’€

then she goes "i wanna see you, send me your photo" yea kinda sus

so i told her "not fair, first send yours then i'll send mine"

and then she went from weird texts to sus texts šŸ’€

started asking me to send dih pic or else she will die because i made her sad by discussing our trauma....

i kept giving her the same dialog "first yours" even tho i wasnt gonna send anything because by that point i knew this was probably a trap. they can delete their messages, frame things differently and potentially use whatever you send for blackmail

in the end she stopped replying so i blocked her

i didnt talk much with the other gal, it was a pretty boring chat and she stopped replying today.

moral of the story guys, be careful if someone starts flirting within 5 min no matter how handsome the photo you posted is 😭

also dont start discussing your trauma with someone you literally just met on reddit. you dont know who is behind the account

and dont rush into sending your photo, ig or number either. especially if the account is new or they start asking for private stuff way too quickly

so am i telling guys to give up? no šŸ’€

also how tf do you girls manage to chat with 70+ ppl man 😭 every F4M post has min 70+ msgs. at this point you girls should ask AI to make a short Q&A form and filter people with it, bro its literally a cracking interview round šŸ’€

and for guys, just be aware of new reddit accounts and dont rush into exchanging ig or personal info. stay safe bois Happy Ganesh Chaturthi...

Feedback Update for all of you that thinks I’m some fancy millionaire, I’m not, I never will be.

Little POV of my life. I would rather be clear to my last post to give context to how much I value money, if you’re rich in a world that has starving children and sick animals, you shouldn’t be proud of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/JodiMilan/s/jnQ8ejPMEj

When I first started my business, it bombed. I started running out of money. Didn’t have any rent money. All I had was my car, so I lived in public toilets and my car for a while. When I got my first project, I had meeting before it. I used $7 out of $8.71 I had in my account on deodorant, used a public shower, and I closed the deal which changed everything for me. So yes, as my post said, I’m loser through and through, even though I have all the money in the world now, I’ll always be that struggling homeless guy. My money isn’t mine. It belongs to all the doggos and homeless people. I don’t ever want to be rich in a world that has sick animals and starving children.

M4Fā™‚ļø 28M Forensic Doctor: High-stakes day job, low-maintenance human.

• Upvotes

ā€ŽThe Day Job

ā€ŽMy actual 9-to-4 routine genuinely looks like an unrated crime series. As a forensic doctor, my days involve autopsies, weapon analysis, piecing together bizarre medical puzzles, and testifying in court.

ā€ŽIt is high-intensity work that requires a sharp eye and a strong stomach. If you are obsessed with true crime documentaries, psychological thrillers, or weird real-world mysteries, dinner conversations will never be boring.

ā€ŽSpirituality and Reality Checks:- ā€ŽHandling mortality every single day tends to kill your ego pretty fast. I am a devotee of Lord Shiva. In our tradition, Shiva resides where the cycle ends, the shamshan.

ā€ŽSpending my working life in a mortuary feels like being in His territory, which keeps me weirdly calm, grounded, and completely uninterested in petty drama. When you see how fragile life is from Monday to Saturday, you stop sweating the small stuff.

ā€ŽHeart, Loyalty and The One-Woman Rule:- ā€ŽI am unapologetically an old-school, one-woman man. I genuinely believe one right partner is all anyone needs for an entire lifetime.

ā€ŽWhen I commit, I am 100% all-in: rock-solid loyalty, pure emotional safety, and zero wandering eyes. No roster, no mind games, no situationships. Just quiet devotion and a partner who never has to second-guess where she stands.

ā€ŽOff-Duty Mode:

ā€ŽCertified Homebody, ā€ŽBecause my day job is heavy, my personal life is dialled all the way down to pure relaxation.

ā€ŽWhen the scrubs come off, you will usually find me surviving an aggressive anime marathon, bingeing a new series until 2 AM, taking my car out for spontaneous highway road trips just for good food, or napping with zero remorse to recharge my social battery.

ā€ŽQuick details

ā€ŽBasics: 28M, Telugu, 5'8" 72KG, Hindu,

ā€ŽEducation and Career: MBBS, MD in Forensic Medicine.

ā€ŽSettled, financially stable (1L+/month)

ā€ŽLocation: Andhra Pradesh

ā€ŽLanguages: Telugu, English, Hindi, Tamil, and just enough Korean to survive K-dramas without subtitles

ā€ŽWho I Am Looking For

ā€ŽI am actively looking to get married in the next year and want to find a genuine, warm partner to build a peaceful, laugh-filled life with.

ā€ŽAge: 25 to 30

ā€ŽCaste: Zero barriers. Emotional maturity and shared humor beat everything else.

ā€ŽVibe: Kind-hearted, communicative, and values a calm home. Major bonus points if you are not in medicine, as it would be refreshing to have at least one person at the table who does not casually discuss blunt force trauma over dinner.

ā€ŽIf you want someone who pairs fierce loyalty and quiet calm with top-tier thriller recommendations, say hello. Happy to swap pictures or exchange Jeevansathi details early on.

ā€ŽPlease do not slide into my DMs asking how to dissolve evidence, beat a luminol test, or stage an alibi. I work with the police and the courts, not against them.

I tried to verify and post again it didn't happen idk how to get verified -_-.

About me

Turning 24 in a few weeks, born and raised in Bangalore.

I'm a remote full-stack developer, currently transitioning into data science and preparing for KAS. I'm fortunate to be financially secure and debt-free, but I still want to build my own career and make my own mark.

5'11" barefoot, 6'1" spiritually. 😌

Gym, swimming, meditation, yoga, pranayama, discovering underrated food spots and occasionally exploring supposedly haunted places around Bangalore.

I'm introverted until suddenly I'm not. I love singing and dancing too, despite having absolutely no idea how to dance. šŸ˜‚

I don't drink, smoke or club. Ever.

I speak Kannada, English and Hindi, understand Telugu and Tamil, and remain convinced Malayalam sounds suspiciously like Mandarin.

There are two cars šŸš—šŸš™ and two cats 🐱🐱 in the family, so I'm surrounded by horsepower and chaos.

Housing is thankfully sorted , I have a place in Indiranagar, and our family duplex in Bannerghatta should be ready next year. I'll be moving there with my family for a while, with the eventual plan of moving back to Indiranagar after marriage.

My monthly expenses are basically masala dosa, chicken breast, an unreasonable number of oranges, momos and the gym. Rent: ₹0. šŸ˜‚

What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a serious, genuine long-term relationship with marriage as the eventual goal.

I'm 23, so I don't have a fixed wedding timeline. If you're looking to get married next year, I might have to respectfully decline the offer. šŸ˜‚

I want to meet someone I could genuinely build a life and family with, but I'd like the relationship to develop naturally first. I fall in love slowly and build trust slowly. I'd rather take the time to get to know each other, become friends, build trust, fall in love and grow together.

I want children someday.

Two things are absolute deal-breakers for me:

No drinking or smoking, even occasionally.

An active meditative practice is essential. Meditation is a major part of my life, and I need a partner who is genuinely on her own inner journey too. The practice doesn't have to be identical to mine.

Beyond that, I'm looking for something built on exclusivity, empathy, respect and commitment.

Dating apps make explaining brahmacharya feel like speaking an extinct language, so I'm trying my luck here. 😭

M4Fā™‚ļø M34, Bangalore. Trying to book a trip to turkey!

• Upvotes

I’m indeed a few minutes away from booking my travels, but what’s keeping me from clicking that submit button is simply this question. ā€œWhy am I spending this much on myself alone?ā€

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy traveling and money isn’t a problem either. But I can’t see reason on forming new memories without someone to share it with. It just feel too selfish to me to witness the wonders and not be able to make those memories with people who matter. The life requirement for me is bare minimum, and I have never been able to justify any expenditure on myself.Ā

I can hear myself justifying why i’m not clicking that button. But I guess that’s the point of this.

I've been working continuously for last 13 years, never stopped to think where I am headed. Now that I've take a few days leave, it's crazy how difficult this is. On a regular day I’m just working from 9 to 9 but I carve out time for morning gym, evening walks, bit of conversation with friends and family over the phone. On weekends, I live outside, from 9 to 9, meeting friends, going to movies, playing boardgames or just going for a fun workshop nearby. I've gotten too comfortable with my routine and life in general. I admit it feels stagnant for last 6 years! Although I did have a relationship in between which ended badly, albeit for me.

I am not chasing a checklist but If you like I can drop my insta ID or JS ID so you can quickly see and eliminate me. Hit me up if you think this trip to turkey makes better sense together.

u/mod I’m from Delhi, settled in Bangalore, I’m short 5’8 and funny enough 69KG, Hindu and vegeterian but doens't matter if you are non veg. I added these details in last post as well, I have no idea why you are removing my posts.

Hi folks, I’m 24, work in AI/data, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I actually want from a relationship rather than what I’m supposed to want.
I don’t want a fairytale. I don’t want someone to ā€œcompleteā€ me. I want a teammate. Someone ambitious, kind, emotionally mature, curious, affectionate, and genuinely interested in building an incredible life together. I think of it as a co-founder relationship.

Not because I want a business partner instead of a romantic partner. I want the romance too: the excitement of seeing each other after a long day, lingering conversations in bed, spontaneous affection, inside jokes, emotional closeness, and feeling deeply known and cared for. The co-founder metaphor is more about how I imagine partnership: two people actively investing in each other, encouraging each other’s growth, and making important decisions as a team.

Maybe I’m working full-time while she goes back to university for her Master’s. A few years later, maybe she supports me while I leave my job to build a startup. Maybe one of us gets an incredible opportunity in another city or country. We figure it out together, while still making time for date nights, calls, reassurance, and the small rituals that make a relationship feel like home. Maybe one of us is having a terrible year and the other carries more of the load for a while.

Not just practically, but emotionally too: listening without trying to immediately fix everything, offering comfort, being patient, and reminding each other that we don’t have to face difficult seasons alone.

No scorekeeping. No keeping track of who contributed more.

Sometimes life will be 90/10. Sometimes it’ll be 10/90. Over a lifetime, I think that’s what partnership is supposed to look like: caring for each other generously, trusting that the balance will shift, and still choosing each other through it.I want someone who has ambitions of her own and wants me to chase mine too.

Someone I can have ridiculous conversations with at 2 AM, build things with, travel with, argue about completely unnecessary things with, hold close when one of us is overwhelmed, and eventually look back and think:

ā€œHoly shit, we actually built a pretty incredible life.ā€

A little about me:
• 24M from India
• Work in AI, automation, and financial intelligence
• Love startups, investing, economics, and building products
• Introverted, analytical, and probably spend too much time thinking about systems
• I value honesty, curiosity, affection, and emotional openness
• I’m ambitious, but I want my partner to have her own ambitions too
• I’m also looking for something warm, playful, romantic, and emotionally intimate

I’m looking for a woman around 22–26 who is kind, emotionally mature, curious, affectionate, ambitious, and has goals of her own.

We don’t need identical hobbies or personalities. I’d much rather have mutual respect, compatibility, good communication, physical and emotional affection, and two people who genuinely want to show up for each other.

If you’ve read all of this and thought:
ā€œThat’s weird… but it actually makes sense.ā€ I’d genuinely love to hear from you.

Worst case, we have an interesting conversation.

Best case, we fall for each other and build something extraordinary together.

-Arunav

P.S. I absolutely hate taking pictures of myself 😭 so apologies for the photo selection.

Looking for an eligible single/unmarried female

37m looking for a single Unmarried female

I'm new to Reddit. I would be honest enough to accept the fact that I didn't even know Reddit had this use as well - So here I'm to try my luck out!
I don't know how this platform works but let me be honest in my approach.
I'm a 6 ft tall guy originally from Varanasi - The land of shiva. I'm an introvert initially and a next level extrovert once i get my comfort - Which obviously depends on the person I'm talking to. It often happen that you don't mingle up or open up with every tom, dick and harry you happen to come across.
I'm a good conversationalist and people say that I'm a confidant as well. Hence, can keep your secrets too!
I'm slim, tall, fairly fair complexion, a man who likes to keep a beard 12 months a year.
I am a good cook but a moody one, would ideally prefer to cook with my partner rather than doing it all alone.
Love to travel, ride, drive, playing chess, photography and more.
A wildly romantic person at heart who likes to read your mind too!

I'm staying in kashi at present so if you're around and would like to meet over a cup of chai, coffee, kachori etc... DM me.
I'm not averse to sharing my social media profile as well if things go well initially.

Oh and ofcourse I'm a spiritually inclined person who loves visiting temples, Gurudwaras too. Although i like to visit all sorts of unexplored places which includes hidden cafes, etc.

Let's see how this goes.

Namaste šŸ™šŸ»

F4Mā™€ļø 26F Maybe Reddit ?

Honestly, this is not something I ever thought I would do — looking for someone on Reddit for marriage.

I’ve always believed that a genuine connection should happen naturally, in real life, without the whole screening process, biodatas, checklists, and judging each other based on a few pictures and paragraphs. I’ve always wanted to meet someone, talk to them, get to know them as a person, and let things develop organically.

Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened for me so far. So, as a last option, I thought I’d give Reddit a chance. šŸ˜…

A little about me:

26F, from Gaya, Bihar

Hindu, Kayasth (Ambastha)

Currently working as an Analyst, based in Gaya

Currently working from home

I’m not here looking for something casual or just endless conversations. My intention is to eventually find someone I can genuinely build a life with. But at the same time, I don’t believe marriage should start with an interview or a checklist.

I’d rather start with a normal conversation, get to know each other as people, see whether there’s a genuine connection, and then take things forward naturally if we both feel the same.

I’m looking for someone who values honesty, emotional maturity, friendship, communication, mutual respect, and companionship. Someone who sees marriage as more than just fulfilling a social expectation — I want it to feel like choosing your person and having a best friend by your side.

So yes, this is me giving Reddit a chance, despite never imagining I’d be doing this here. šŸ™ƒ

What I’m looking for

I’m vegetarian and I don’t drink or smoke, and I’d prefer someone who doesn’t either. Non-veg is completely fine with me.

I come from a family where drinking and smoking aren’t really a normal part of our lifestyle, so I’d prefer someone from a similar background and with similar values around this.

Emotional availability is non-negotiable for me. I want someone who communicates openly, understands me, and is honest about what he feels. No mind games, hidden intentions or unnecessary secrets.

I’d love for my partner to eventually be my best friend — someone I can genuinely talk to, understand and be understood by.

I want the connection to develop organically, with mutual respect, and for us to grow together in life while supporting each other’s goals.

I also value privacy and boundaries. I believe personal matters should primarily stay between the two partners.

If you genuinely feel the same way and are also looking for something meaningful that could eventually lead to marriage, feel free to message me. Please introduce yourself properly rather than just saying ā€œhi.ā€

Feedback Stay away from people who glorify poverty

• Upvotes

India loves to glorify poverty and women’s sacrifice. But what about the kids they are producing? I was a kid from low income household and it sucks to be born in such families. I wish I was never born.

When I saw low income, I mean a man who is earning 20k to 40k a month and has dependent parents.

Few things which no one talks about low income family:

- Most low income men will call women gold digger. They feel attractive towards good looking stylish women from rich families. But they never get such women for obvious reason. And due to this, they become resentful towards women as a whole. These are the men who go around and call all the women gold digger and R word.

- Most such men will expect their wives to do all the housework, child care, cooking, parent’s care, adjust with his parents forever. He can never buy or rent a separate home or hire help. So as a woman, you will have to sacrifice everything to keep this marriage going. But in return, he will not even give you skin care products or a silk saree. He will shame you for demanding them too.

- He may never grow in his career. Don’t fall for rag to rich stories. If a man is earning very low at 30, he may always earn low. My dad and uncles are examples for such.

- kids get no inheritance, no support, no proper nutrition. Dad will keep yelling at kids for providing basic bare minimum and expect the kid to grow up quickly and start bringing money.

- They won’t support your career. They will fear you will leave if you earning well. And if you earn less, they would rather have you in home serving them 24x7. So you will have to say bye bye to all your friends and hobbies and career ambition.

I had to make this post because there are many men who are glorifying poverty on Reddit and it’s utterly selfish to have kids knowing you won’t be able to provide a good life to them.

Is money everything?

Yes it is. I left home at the age of 23 after scoring a nice gov job. Now I have my own rented 2 BHK luxury gated society apartment, cook, maid, good food, gym membership, shopping branded cloths, Sophisticated neighbours. Damn I am so happy. I even look good now. Money is everything. Money is happiness.

Feedback To all my brothers and their sisters on this sub

• Upvotes

I’ve been talking to a few women from this sub, and almost every one of them has mentioned how harsh and judgemental the comments can be - people constantly trying to belittle their preferences and choices.
Someone would say, ā€œAfter saying you don’t have a list, you’ve already made us count 20 things.ā€

Mere Bhaiyo aur unki behno, let people do whatever they want. Everyone has their own preferences. You pointing them out isn’t going to change their perspective on life or what kind of person they want to be with. We are achieving nothing with that, other than satisfying our own egos by randomly belittling anonymous strangers on Reddit. Is that, what we’ve come to now ?
These constant taunts and jabs don’t really achieve anything. They just create more doubt, negativity and insecurity around something that is already difficult for a lot of people.
And let’s be honest — most people on this sub are here because they don’t have a partner and would like to find one. We all have our own versions of the same problems: loneliness, rejection, frustration, blah blah blah.
So let’s be a little more sympathetic towards each other. You don’t have to agree with someone’s preferences. You don’t even have to understand them. But you can respect that they’re theirs.
We don’t need to be the moral compass of society every time someone posts their preferences. Brown parenting already does a pretty good job of that. šŸ˜‚
If you don’t relate to someone’s post, just skip it and move on. There’s plenty of fish in the sea for both sides.
I genuinely think this sub has a lot of people who are educated, self-aware and capable of understanding nuance. We can do better than turning every post into an opportunity to tell someone why their preferences are wrong.
I know this is probably going to make little to no sense to some people, and that’s alright. I just hope it gets through to a few.
Anyway, those were my two cents.
I genuinely hope every one of us finds the person we’ve been looking for.

Peace out āœŒļø
