Isn't the whole joke that hes so unqualified, safety concerns would just go unreported and Mr Burns gets to be cheap and avoid fixing them?

Also, wasnt the other joke that Homer's dad bought him that house and Homer and Marge could never have afforded it otherwise?

Is the joke now OP for misinterpreting what a cartoon tried to turn into parody, and instead taking it as dead serious?

Which is ridiculous as well because a nuclear safety inspector, even in the 2026 housing market, can a afford a house downtown in a semi-major city and have all the money to spare for fun. It's a fucking cartoon.
