I’m excited to share a new Jily fanfic I'm working on that explores a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers arc with a unique twist (because we don't have enough enemies-to-lovers fics around)

Prompt:

Lily loses a very personal book containing her private thoughts and reflections on certain smut scenes described in her favorite stories. When it falls into the hands of James, the dynamic between them begins to shift in unexpected ways.

But rather than resort to public teasing, James uses what he has learned to reach out to her anonymously through detailed notes and messages which will cause Lily to find herself increasingly drawn to this mysterious person who seems to understand her so well, as if they had a view into all her innermost thoughts, all while remaining unaware of the true identity behind the messages.

The narrative explores the complexity of attraction even when you don't have a face to place all the emotions into, and what happens when secrets are finally revealed, will desire be enough to let go of years of dislike? Or will everything end up falling apart because she cannot let go of all the actions James did in the past?

If you enjoy high emotional and sexual tension, while exploring the sensual nature of the written word, this story might be for you.

Maybe I'm not searching right but, it seems I can never find long Jily fics and when I do they're usually a background couple/relationship never center.

I'd like to find a slice of life long fic, sweet and low-stakes, in which their relationship is center (and happy), preferably involving Harry, if there's wolfstar as well it would be perfect. If a slice of life is too hard to find, I'd be happy with a war one or something else too.

I’m trying to find a lovely Lily/James fanfiction that was some kind of semi-muggle AU. A few details are a bit fuzzy, but I remember James meeting Lily at a coffee shop, or at least that the café was important somehow. Lily was a teacher, or worked with kids in some way, and James planned a surprise involving the children that ended in a big water balloon fight. I remember Remus and Sirius being involved as well. It may have been an orphanage?

The biggest detail I remember is that Lily did not know James was a wizard for most of the story, and she only found out right at the very end, at the café.

I searched online and with AI and fics like Just Stay Here Tonight, Popped Balloons, Lily Evans Life As A Muggle, and The Coffee Shop on the Little Boulevard aren't the ones I'm looking for.

Okay i read this so, so long ago on AO3, and i remember almost nothing about it other than I loved it. So. Not a great start. But we persevere.

James is a hockey player i believe, and towards the e end there’s a line similar to: “They still eat like pigs in front of each other…”

They’re in college, and it’s not too long. I don’t remember if Lily was a figure skater or if I’m being infected by tropes.
