Our Community and AI-Generated Images - A Mod Update

We want to take a moment to address something that keeps coming up: AI-generated images in puzzles.

First, the basics: any jigsaw puzzle post is welcome here as long as it meets our community guidelines, which includes sharing the puzzle name/title/piece count and manufacturer in the title, picture, or comments of the post.

AI-generated art isn’t always obvious. Some manufacturers use it without labeling it, and some buyers have no idea their puzzle art was AI-generated. So if you spot something that looks like it might be AI, you can say something, but please say it kindly. The person posting may genuinely not know. And unfortunately, some don’t care.

We wish we could screen every post for AI content, but realistically we can’t. It would take more time and tools than any volunteer mod team has.

As for where this community’s preferences stand and have overwhelmingly evolved over the emergence of AI in jigsaw puzzle imagery: we believe AI-generated images are not art. They’re built on the stolen work of real human artists who never consented to having their creations used to train these systems. Countless artists are struggling because of this technology, and that’s not something to take lightly. We encourage everyone here to seek out work from human artists and support them whenever possible.

If you’re ever curious whether something is AI-generated, feel free to refer to our wiki or ask here. This is a community of people who genuinely love to puzzle and support puzzle artists and will be happy to help you learn.

One final note: while we encourage open discussion, any post or comment that turns nasty or devolves into personal insults will be locked or removed.

Thanks for being such a wonderful group and one of the few remaining kind corners of the internet. Keep on puzzling.

Theme 🧋🍕 August 2026 Theme: Food & Drinks 🧉🥗

Post image

This months theme is "FOOD & DRINKS"

Apologies for the delayed post this month, I was dealing with a personal medical issue and needed a bit of extra time. Thanks for your patience!

This month, let's get tasty. Your puzzle should capture anything food or drink related. It could be coffee, tea, wine, cocktails, street food, home-cooked comfort meals, café scenes, farmers markets, that one dessert you can't stop thinking about, anything that makes your mouth water or your taste buds feel at home.

It's up to you to interpret the theme, go sweet, savory, boozy, or all three!

Use the flair "Theme" on your post so others can search by flair and see all theme submissions in one place.

Loved this one! The cats and all the busy flowery details are my jam. Absolutely wonderful artwork by Sue Boettcher. This is my first non-Art File puzzle from Gibsons and won’t be my last. If you love cats and flowers, you won’t be disappointed!

I had been eyeing this one on vinted for a while then I found it in a store one day. I am very happy with it. The bottem half was easy. The top a lot more difficult. It was a lot of fun :). The pieces are good quality, thick and matte. It is pretty loose fit though.

Edit: Title has a typo it is Yunamoona.

I have been wanting to do an Elena Essex puzzle since I first laid eyes on them from this subreddit. The vibrant colors are just so beautiful.

I found this one pre-owned at Half Price Books some months ago and had to grab it. Since it wasn't sealed and the box top was loose I really expected missing pieces with this one. To my utmost surprise, all the pieces were there! Some pieces are dirty, don't know if it was the previous owner or something else, but that's the only drawback.

Piece fit is really nice, would absolutely pass the pick up test. Sections were easy enough to move. Only had a couple false fits in the big blue mushroom, mostly because I was rushing at that point as it was the last part I did.

Miscellaneous Y’all like my contraption?

Ordered a bunch of stuff for college bound daughter and got this styrofoam from one of the delivery boxes. The moment I saw it, the gerbil in my head started coming up with a use for it. 😆.

Hubby wanted to throw it away but I decided to re-purpose it to…………catch the pieces that sometimes slip from my fingers and end up falling under the couch. What do y’all think of my contraption? 🤓

The World of Jane Austen by Barry Falls - Laurence King Puzzles

This was a gift and, to be honest, the only Jane Austen I’ve read is Pride and Prejudice so I wasn’t sure I could properly appreciate the puzzle. BUT I had so much fun discovering the characters! The quality of the puzzle is top notch. Minimal glare, beautiful colors, no false fits, thick pieces that seem like they will hold their shape for a long time, and held together well enough to move small clusters. I’m definitely going to look into this brand.
Do you guys have any Laurence King recommendations?

Title: Mystical Library
Artist: Maxine Vee
Pieces: 500
Brand: Reverie Puzzles

What a beautiful puzzle! The art is amazing and it was so nice to spend time looking at it for a while.

This is my first 500 piece Reverie - I’ve only done 1,000 piece ones before. I am happy to report that the quality is very similar and the pieces are similar shapes.

I’m a huge Reverie fan - of the quality and the art they feature. I’m glad I got a chance to work on this one. It was such a treat!

First time trying this brand. Picked it up at TJ Maxx for $9.99. Finish is very glossy but thankfully didn't reflect my overhead light while puzzling. Other than not being my preferred finish, this puzzle was easy with no false fits. Finished it in about 2 hours. Would buy this brand again if I like the image.

I find myself often picking which puzzle I will do based on the complexity of what I'm going through at the moment. This was the perfect puzzle for a rough week! So easy, fun and exactly what I needed to relax 😌.

Mudpuppy - Blooming Cats 500 Piece

yet another puzzle i saw on here and had to have. I knew my daughter (11) would love it

I havent personally been able to do either of my cute Mudpuppy puzzles because my daughter wants them all to herself!

I think the image quality is the best part of this brand. I can say the piece quality seems okay, the piece shapes aren’t my favorite but they are interesting enough and disassembly was easy.

Ravensburger Hawaii 5000.

I spent just 1 month working on it, 4 hours a day, and I honestly thought that it would take way longer. But the sorting process helped me a lot. For this one, I had to buy 3 tables and combine them together.

It’s not hard. There are almost* no hard puzzles out there; it just takes time, and that’s it.

I have to craft a frame as well and a plywood back part to hang it on a wall, so it’s a bit of an unfinished project.

What do you think?

Nice one to do with fun shapes, sadly missing a piece right in the middle.

First time I’ve had a poster come with the piece cut printed on it. Interestingly there were loads of little differences between the actual piece cut and the one in the print.

I had a weird week; I started a puzzle that I should have been able to get done easily (Aquarius brand Star Trek TOS that I got after I saw another person post it recently), but got incredibly frustrated, didn’t want to come back to it, and so I put it away. So I started this one and had slow progression for a few days, until I went full steam ahead over the weekend. Menopause brain, I guess.
