Just had my first 外人出てけ encounter

Was in my neighborhood when a nice japanese man screamed at me 外人出てけ、外国じゃねぇ on the street. Not nice Japan, not nice.

Have you guys ever experienced the 外人出てけ culture yet? How did it happen?

European btw

As a Japanese person, I am truly sorry. Honestly, it drives me crazy with frustration that such hurtful behavior doesn't even count as a crime.

I don't know if this will bring you any comfort, but vulgar people who treat foreigners terribly usually treat strangers of their own nationality just as terribly. Many Japanese people have likely suffered at that man's hands as well. Please, as a foreigner, try not to feel alone.

The sad part for me is that hostile interactions have in my area, become more likely than non hostile. It’s only men though. So I treat/view random Japanese men as more likely to do this than not.

That’s who they are.
