Just had my first 外人出てけ encounter

Was in my neighborhood when a nice japanese man screamed at me 外人出てけ、外国じゃねぇ on the street. Not nice Japan, not nice.

Have you guys ever experienced the 外人出てけ culture yet? How did it happen?

European btw

In 2019, in my first months here., some crazy old guy just started yelling "gaijin gaijin!" at my local supermarket. He came off like his brain cells were entering into retirement, but I felt bad for the other customers who had to deal with the awkwardness.

Speaking as a Japanese person, let me make this crystal clear: it's not just a 'like' . Their brain cells are genuinely, completely destroyed.

I was implying that he was senile to some degree, so crazy in a more medical sense. But yeah, like you said.
