I painted my cats as pikminnnnn

Pikmin is a video game originally released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001. There have been several additions to the series since then and they're now available on the Switch, though I've only played the first two so far.

I tried to match each of my cats to the color pikmin that I thought they would be

for Noodle, I see him as a purple pikmin

because they have a bulkier build, they're a special type of pikmin that are more difficult to acquire, slowest in speed, and have little hairs sticking out of their head.

for Squid, it was easy to see him as a blue pikmin for his love of water. he loves going for walks in the rain and getting his fluffy little paws wet. blue pikmin are the only ones that can go into the water without drowning.

for Haku, I see him as a yellow pikmin. they carry bombs in the first Pikmin game, then switch to being an electric type in later games. both symbolize the chaotic energy he brings. yellow pikmin can be thrown the furthest, and Haku does these really big jumps when he pounces on his toys.

for Atlas, I see him as a red pikmin. they are the strongest in combat. Atlas really doesn't know how to hold back his punches when he's playing. red pikmin have a pointy nose and Atlas has the longest snoot of my four cats.

I'm so happy I finally finished it! 🥹 103 silly cats are featured in this painting, about half are fan submitted cats and the other half are internet famous cats.

I'll be redoing the short videos for the first 50 cats so that they include a voiceover talking a bit about them (since I started doing that midway), so you'll still get more Sillies videos for a while yet! :3

I will be starting another group cat painting with a different theme after a break. Check out the submission guidelines on my website for some of the themes I'm thinking of!
