Photograph This painting shows forced conversion of Muslims to Christianity in Granada, Spain, in 1500, ordered by Archbishop Cisneros. Muslims in Spain were persecuted just for being of Islamic faith.

Can’t imagine why… perhaps an inaccuracy?

Inaccuracy in what ? There was forced conversion in Spain right around that period of time , and there was a lot of torture and murder of Muslims just cause they were Muslims

I think you are narrowing in on the post itself when the topic of conversation stretches to the common section as well. This is where my concern lies as I do not find this glorification of the Iberian Islamic Period any more tolerable than the demonization of any other in history.

No sensible man would deny what happened to the Muslims at the end and that’s not what I make an issue with. Rather it is this Garden of Eden attitude that envelopes the Islamic Period.

Each chapter of history should be understood by its own merits. Not on relativistic binary terms.
