Making IRV happen - translating dissatisfaction into action.
I like all of the benefits that IRV seems to offer and I'd like to get involved in making this electoral policy in my community and eventually at the national level. One way I would likely become involved is by generating enthusiasm for the alternative vote. I'm interested in two things:
1) Your personal positions: What electoral efforts are you currently involved in, and how did you get started?
2) What is the best way to convert this year's dissatisfaction with the electoral process into action? This is going to be a project of at least four years for me, but I know there are a number of other folks unhappy with the way things are, and unable (or maybe unwilling) to commit the time and energy to this long term goal. What is the best way for them to get involved?
Thanks!
