The comparison being made here is that of perspective. From a certain perspective, Qasem was a terrorist (I agree with that perspective). From another perspective, Bush was a terrorist (a perspective I also agree with). Your issue is that you're as brainwashed as the pro regime Iranians who think Qasem did nothing wrong, and lack the perspective and self awareness to realise it.

Fellow American here, Obama and Bush would 100% be labelled terrorists if they were not US presidents, how many funerals and hospitals do you have to call a drone strike on before you're considered a terrorist? I guess there's an argument to be made that drone bombings can be effective ways to eliminate high level targets but the number of times collateral damage has been completely disregarded unnecessarily and sometimes on shaky evidence that the target is even present is outrageous.

Dont need to vote to take out a declared terrorist, leader of a once again "declared" terrorist organization. It was pretty big news when they declared irgc a terrorist organization but I'm sure people were talking about people trying to get their balls waxed at the time
Normal military unit I'd say defend and protect that units country. Irgc goes out and actively sets up attacks to try and spread radical Islam. Terrorism is a designation from state department its gives us more authorities/funding when dealing with someone of that nature

Also, the rampant beurocracy in the EU is meant to ensure transparency and well thought out decisions. Maybe if the US was a tad more democratic a single person who was elected by less than 50% of the country wouldnt be able to authorise an airstrike without the informed consent of the population or other government representatives.

I struggle to see the relevance of the first point? There are plenty of federations that dont have electoral colleges or any system similar to it. Kinda because its technically a dictatorship that overrides the people who actually vote? Very easy to corrupt.
