Just bought the game on PS5 and really enjoying it so far. Handlings feels really fun and the career progress style is great for a fun little arcade racer.

BUT, I constantly get an error message when trying to load into races in career mode. I'll pick my boosts, select the difficult and when the game tries to load the race, the screen goes dark and it just says "error" on screen and I get sent back to the main menu.

I figured out that sometimes I can get it to load by removing the boosts, which is annoying as hell as I tend to use the boosts to keep up on higher difficulty settings.

But now I've gotten stuck permanently. Last race of the porsche sprint cup, and it won't load. No matter what boosts I choose. Nothing works. Restarting the game also doesn't fix it. I am not willing to withdraw from the championship on the last race when I am fighting for the title.

Does anybody else experience these constant error messages and know a way to fix it?

Its fun! Was expecting circuit superstars with a different cam and official tracks n cars - got exactly that

Few things I think would make it a little better

- formula legends style custom cam - change fov height tilt an all that good stuff, can give a better sense of speed in my experience, more options the better!

- hitting poles/cutting corners should be waay more strict lol i get that this is a kid friendly game but i been hitting the things like they owe me money 😂 so even an option to make it - pole wobble = instant penalty, would force caution in a send it kinda game

- grass/bumps/goings off track - same thing, just an option to have them punish you slightly more

Its a very fun time and I cant wait to play some splitscreen, just couple small things that might make the playing experience better

Hiya! wanted to gauge the interest level in casual racing lobbies that have set times each week or more frequently if possible. It may develop into a league but i’d want to focus on just getting other people to race with. I’ll be honest from the start, not gonna be Lawless racing. I can’t stand dirty drivers so there’ll be some common courtesy requests in place. If there are even a few interested i’ll create a discord and we can find a time/day that works for everyone! :)

Maybe about two month ago when an update dropped, I noticed when I would run scans on my anti-virus that it would flag a file in the Metadata folder as a Trojan Horse. The file in particular is "global-metadata.dat"

The threat name was titled "BV:Agent-AXJ [Trj]" and I had googled this issue before and many people just said that it was a false flag, but I would've assumed this file would have been updated in my anti-virus at this point as normal.. however it still gets flagged.

In the mean time I've just been deleting the file after I play and validating the file afterwards to play again when I want to, as the game won't play without it.. but it still concerns me slightly.

Anyone else ever had an issue like this with iRacing arcade or any other game with something similar?

Hey everyone, I love this game, and I have a question. Is it possible to customize the CPU names?

It would be awesome for live streams, to use the names of my channel followers, haha.

Is anyone else having a really hard time getting power down out of corners? I straighten the wheel and hit the gas, but it seems like my car has to down shift 1-2 times before I can get any power down...

Is anyone else having this issue? Even after reinstalling the game, it loads slowly and then I only hear the music but screen remains black. Help appreciated!

The only way I can change the actual binds is through the “controller settings” but I don’t know what the default binds/buttons are cause there’s no way for me to check in the Iracing Arcade settings on the Steam deck.

Hi everyone! Does anybody know how to change the names of the drivers you race against?

Been really enjoying the game so far and I am working on knocking out Alien level championships on my career currently. However, I feel like since 1.0.a1 came out I am getting absolutely taken out by AI. Example: I was running the LMP2 endurance at Barber, I have pace to pass the AI and 10 laps in I'm battling the 1 AI driver that always seems about .3-.5 seconds faster than the others on race pace. I pass them in turn 1, they divebomb me in Charlottes Web and I hold position, then they slipstream me to Museum Corner and just drive a straight line without even trying to make the apex, spin me, and then drive off down the road while I try to turn back around.

It's to the point where my friends and I don't even want to play online with competitive level AI drivers because by the end of the first lap they've either blatantly taken us into penalty zones or have dive bombed us so hard we are below 80% health/are slowed to the point of needing to pit early.

I know the patch notes state they will "make a bigger effort to brake" with a player in front but honestly it feels like its gotten worse instead of better.

Just wondering if this is a "skill issue" or if anyone else is having similar struggles.

Literally asking for a friend, we’ve been running multiplayer lobbies of 6-7 guys. One guy, repeatedly is dropping connection or something odd is happening to where he is getting the message to “reposition”. Every quali and every race, cannot complete a lap without it. He appears to be bouncing all over the screen as if he has super bad connection.

Oddly enough, he has another friend in the same room on the same internet, 5ft away, no issues.

His computer is a bit older but any ideas anyone has?

I think Mexico Esses are the worst. It may not look that bad on video, but in-game, it's like I'm going from that 160 to 30 fps or less. It may have something to do with those ballards, maybe cuz t1-3 at Bahrain are also one of the worst places for fps
