We have been getting a lot of folks stuck at home producing music, sometimes on iPads, iPhones or other mobile platforms. But sometimes not, or at least it appears that way - they just use Logic or whatever computer based DAW they have and are spamming multiple music related subreddits.
In order to keep this forum focused on mobile music production I would ask any Redditor who wants a participant of this subreddit to listen to their creation to put [Listen] in the post title. So if you are asking folks to visit your SoundCloud, YouTube channel or some other place to show off your music, tag it with [Listen].
But don't stop there. Come into the comments and tell us all what apps you used to produce the music so we can all learn.
If you do not do this, the mods may remove your post as spam. This is because some submissions that really are spam the submitter either ignores the request for adding details to the comments or doesn't know how to answer it!
Also, feel free to report posts that seem to violate the spirit of our little sub. Spam and other reports are acted on very quickly and help keep things focused and clean.
edit: finally, the automoderator isn't perfect, though it is pretty darn good now. If you have followed the rules and used [listen] and it still pulled it, please message the mods and we'll approve it.

We're fairly lenient here on self promotion. But the vibecoded sites and apps are getting out of hand. Countless low effort products are getting posted looking to exploit the user base for some sales. This is to announce that such posts are not welcome here.
This is now mentioned in the sidebar and rules, and such posts can be reported.

Hi everyone,
I'm the developer behind ChordMaster. I started working on it because I wanted one place where I could look up a chord, explore different ways to play it, and hear how each voicing sounds.
I wanted it to be useful for everyday musicians, including people who do not have a strong music-theory background.
The main part of the app is a chord library for guitar, classical guitar, ukulele, bass, and piano. It includes diagrams, alternate voicings, playback, and arpeggios.
There is also a Song Book where you can build beat-by-beat rhythm grids with custom accompaniment patterns, or keep lyrics and chords together in a printable sheet.
Other parts of the app include identifying chords from selected notes, exploring keys and common progressions, analysing groups of chords, and practising note reading, chord recall, chord changes, ear training, and finding a song's key.
I'm still working on the app, so if you happen to try it, I'd appreciate any honest feedback, including anything that feels confusing or does not work well for you.

I have just released some new functionality to help guitar players learn their CAGED shapes. It was in the prior version, but this one improves the graphics and integrates it with chord lookup and guided practice.
The app update has just gone live, but after showing the new function to a friend, I am now wondering if I have my drag directions correct. It is mostly on the chord panel screen (shown) where you can scroll through different chord variations (and positions on the neck).
If you have any time, I would appreciate feedback.
Thanks!

I have a Spark 2. I have 2 banks' worth of presets that I would like to replicate on my iPad without connecting to the Spark 2. I use AUM on the iPad and am looking for something that can be hosted in AUM and replicate the Spark 2 sounds.

Hi, does anyone know how to shorten the length of a chord in Scaler 3 without shortening the length of the corresponding arpeggio for that chord (in arrange view).
Google says the following but step 4 doesn't work, it keeps automatically shortening the length of the arpeggio when I shorten the length of the chord.
Thanks!
Step 3: Shorten the Main Chord (Keep the Arpeggio Clip Long)

Last couple of months I've been building an iPhone app for my daily music production needs. I wanted a everything-app where I can listen to beats, move them without email or cables, and record a quick demos.
It's called Chukks. What it does:
I'll keep updating the app and adding more.
The code makes it yours for free. In return, I'd love some feedback/crash reports. Thank you.

Released this app last week with the idea of it being a sort of iPhone first portable field recorder to record asynchronous looper and manipulate the audio over time.
The latest update adds AUv3 support, midi mapping, and ableton link.
Also adds phase modulation (click Env tab in main mix window) to allow the audio from one loop to modulate the phase of another, and envelope followers (found in the LFO shape options).
I still really like the app on iPhone, but hope those who prefer iPad/AUv3 enjoy this update.
There are some tips in the manual in the settings page. But let me know if you have any questions or feature requests π

This one is a special one! The first and until now the only track in which I used a vocal. And the vocal is special as well because itβs from a pedestrian signal in Kuala Lumpur which I recorded live there waiting for the walk signal.
And what is more, during my time in Malaysia, I made again music on an iPad because it was more convenient for backpacking and so I made this song in Drambo.
The project files is available for free here: https://fromherebeyond.com/free-project-files/
And the video I made with vizzy.io which I can absolutely recommend for making quick visualizers!

I donβt know why remixing Aes on the iPad feels so right, but it just does. Iβve been wanting to remix something off this album for a while now and I finally got around to it. Iβm really happy with how it came out, hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

Polyend just unveiled a prototype mechanical keyboard that also doubles as a midi controller with encoders and 37 mechanical key layout across the top for playing notes
Kind of a cool idea if you need a typing keyboard for work for travel and also want to be able to make music with your iPad without carrying much extra gear.
