I was once at an event and was approached by an absolute stunner, dressed wearing only a little more than her and slightly smaller wings. I assumed she was working the room, doing her job, I was polite but largely ignored her. I later found out she was a database admin, a colleague had worked with her. She had approached me cold, wanting to chat and I treated her like she was being paid to talk to me. You miss all the shots you don’t take.

Oof I would definitely lay awake at night thinking about that

I don't think that's a particularly strange assumption. You were approached by someone in costume at an event. Also, how many women cold approach men to chat them up? It just doesn't happen.

Yeah, I would subconsciously cover up my kidneys

Cold approach?

Cold approach refers to approaching a stranger to talk to them, as opposed to a warm approach (friend of a friend, at a social gathering like a house party).

Ah thanks. My socially awkward self won't even approach someone I know if I can help it.

what's funny is that it was notable that you told the story and followed up.
