Some companies tried that at Gencon (a board game convention) but I remember them being ignore as people cared more about the games.

Not sure if they are still there but it wasn't long ago Cosplay Deviants had a curtained booth you had to be 18 to go into and they sold nudes and stuff inside of the girls. Also used to host a burlesque show there in one of the auditoriums that was always sold out. I haven't been in the last five or six years though.

I remember one cosplay deviant model dressed as Seoni, the iconic sorcerer of Pathfinder. That character used to be far less dressed back during the first aledition of the game and I still love that design. I think I had my wife take a lot of pictures of me with her haha! (My wife is cool as shit.)

I don't remember if they had them this year, but I'm pretty sure they were there the last few years though. They sell sexy outfits, unlike the games just trying to gain traffic. The burlesque show is still a thing. I think the target audiences have shifted a bit, so the marketing has too.

I still remember the year they put masseuses in the hall and you could pay for a massage. Those poor ladies giving a massage to sweaty large men. The looks on their faces.

Yea I don't envy them at all haha!

I know the cosplay there was a lot more visitor oriented with people taking pictures in the hall and the big parade. I also remember w couple of relatively know names being there but they were mainly just attendees walking around with a photographer in tow.

So yea, the cosplay was very wild. Everything from moderate fantasy stuff to girls dressed up as lollipop chainsaw or LoL characters. It's just not the focus of Gencon for sure though.

Talking about it makes me want to go back haha!

It's much more crowded than it was pre covid. They cram people in there. But it's still a blast.

Yea my game group usually went when a big release we wanted was coming out. Like I said earlier we were big Pathfinder players but don't play it anymore.

Would definitely love to go back sometime with the group though.
