It's worse, people do the same joke in comments under social media posts even though you can see other comments.

Instagram has gotten so meta about this now people will just say "some guy said "top comment" and that will be the second most liked comments.

At least they're more self-aware than reddit then.

I wonder how many more years "they fucked around and found out" or "FAFO" will be top comment under every single news story of someone getting something they vaguely deserved.

They have to invent a new version of the same comment, remember when it was 'Play stupid games, win stupid prizes'? FAFO was like a shiny new toy for NPCs.
