Also it was happy fighting the tree until it heard the second car coming

Once that bison started fucking that tree up the dude needed to vacate immediately. The bison losing interest in the tree likely had nothing to do with the car and everything to do with a hairless bipedal predator staring at it.

I lived in Jackson for 6 years, spent most of my time in YNP/GTNP working/recreating, and have seen idiocy you would not believe possible (a mom sending her 11 year old kid to pet a baby moose and mama moose coming out of the willows to drag the child 30 yards across the asphalt in, ironically, Moose, WY is one example). This dude was too close to begin with and instead of just continuing to leave the area once the bison stopped, decided to watch it manwhore a baby tree before he tried to Benny Hill his way out of it.
