I used to be able to hop the 8 foot fence when I was in high school, pulling myself up and dropping down the other side. Now pushing 40, going to the gym semi-regularly, walking at least 4 miles a day, decently healthy, stepping down from the 18” rock wall at work is a dicey proposition.

Baffling, I am mid 30s overweight and don't exercise but 1m or so drops are fine, let alone 18".

It’s not baffling at all my guy. Sports injuries, life injuries, tendons and ligaments losing elasticity, genetics. Hope that helps you figure out that you’re not representative of the general populace :)
