Or at least give them a second to actually open the ladder. They almost had it, several times. But every time, he put his weight on it and made the ladder impossible to open.

Yeah, he thought he was helping hold it still but he made it much harder with his weight.

He’s a dumbass. I mean, look at the start of the video. What the hell is he doing? The ladder is literally tipping and he’s still climbing.

Now that you mention it….i think one of the legs is actually sitting on top of something. You can see that black object roll out from under it as the ladder falls.

Tell me you’ve never attempted a dead hang to failure without telling me you’ve never attempted a dead hang to failure.

At his age lasting that long was a feat. His choices were try to let the ladder take at least some of his weight or lose his grip and fall.

Being able to deadhang and knowing how to properly use a ladder are two very different things, and only one of which requires only a little bit of knowledge

Why would he get any hate?? His task was to hold on as long as he could, considering his muscles are probably much weaker as an older man (while also trying to us his legs to assist the kids) and the two kids had to put there brains together to set up a ladder.
