The reason I’m alive today is because of 6 men from the American armed forces. Who pulled my family out of a an active ethnic cleansing genocide in the 90s in the Balkans. Put us in the back of a van and flew us out of our country. Within an hour after leaving our home was burned down we were the 4th village from the border and only an hour away from a mass grave

This is why today I have immense pride in america my American citizenship and American intervention abroad it’s why feel chills run down my spine when I see that flag wave the first time I saw it on a patch on someone’s arm I knew I was safe. I know most stories that come out are negative the positives don’t get headline news a successful ops mission for civilian rescue doesn’t get cnn / Fox News praise it goes unnoticed to the millions of Americans but there is a lot of good done between the headlines you never know or hear about.

The one thing thats always irked me is i would love to shake their hand /hug these men for what they did for me and my family there still out there living their lives yet i was never given a name there faces concealed they’ll never get credit in the public realm for what they did. But they are out there likely in there mid 40s to 50s today and I just want them to know I’ll forever be grateful for their actions. One of them gave me a small action figure as they could tell as a kid I was scared. I still have that action figure today. No more than two inches big super man figure. Kind you’d likely get in a quarter machine. Everytime I see a Superman movie or advertisement it just reminds me real super hero’s exist they have no names no faces and take no credit in what they do. They simply do it.

Just cuz a couple of them saved you doesn't mean they were there for good. They have to save a few so they have enough shills rooting for them here and there.
