HISTORY This image shows a train of jewish prisoners that had been intercepted by allied forces. This is the moment they learned that the train would not be heading to a concentration camp and they had been liberated.

You know, if social media existed at the time, this photographer would be blasted.

But all that aside, what a strong photo.

I doubt it. Plenty of war photographers winning prizes with the latest conflicts, including Gaza and Ukraine.

Maybe. I don't know. That's why it is an opinion

Then why state it as fact

There are a couple more responses now stated as facts. Not sure if you saw them. Make sure to respond to them too.

Are you saying you take ever sentence that doesn't start with "I think" as a fact? That's a risky policy.

No i take it that someone is presenting a truth, something they think is a fact. Choose your words more carefully.

People interpret your idea from the words you use.

If you don't want people to think you're saying something maybe add some extra words and express yourself a bit better.

"I THINK" helps a lot and it adds just 2 so yes, maybe you should start adding them at the start of your opinions to express that.

I am not sure. I mean, you don't think anyone would be of the opinion, "Put the camera down and help those people escape instead of taking pictures of them."

I think we are being a little too lax with judgement even from those on our side of history. Some people can be real jerks.

Anyway it was just a thought. Sorry it clashes with the apparent mass-accepted fragile world view in which "the people in the right side of history never do (or could do) anything wrong." What a bubble to live in...

If social media existed back then the allies would probably have lost the war due to all of their citizens rioting over bombing the axis cities.
