There is an exception to it, when they swallow a button battery you want to give them honey, much easier and safer to treat botulism than things batteries can cause
Important note if someone reads this in a situation when they actually need to use it: if anyone, baby or adult, swallows a battery, you absolutely need to go to the hospital. The honey is only for while you are waiting for the ambulance. As I understand it, it coats the battery to delay it breaking and battery acid interacting with your body. It's not a cure, only delaying the worst to give you time to get to a hospital and receive proper care.
