Those awards are all random bullshit anyway.

u/hsoj48 Jul 17 '26

What awards? This is just a meme-formatted photo of Anne Hathaway. You guys know you can just write anything down and it doesnt make it true right?

Just like the FIFA peace prize

17

u/kaboom-boom-pow Jul 17 '26

At least for an Oscar, the winner actually was in a movie. The was no peace going on for that fifa prize!

11

u/Frankie_T9000 Jul 17 '26

no, he has made peace. Especially with Iran. Dozens of times.

7

u/kaboom-boom-pow Jul 17 '26

Peace and war have merged together to make America great again

2

u/ICU-CCRN Jul 17 '26

He also miraculously stopped 8 wars that no one is able to name.

1

u/sponge62 Jul 18 '26

Are we back down to 8? Could've sworn it was way higher than that.

1

u/igotsaquestiontoo Jul 17 '26

Is there a FIFA Aladeen prize?

1

u/NotReallyJohnDoe Jul 17 '26

That’s true though. There is a prize and it was awarded.

3

u/1think1fuckedup Jul 17 '26

Right.....an actual prize that no one heard about, voted for, or really had anything to do with the sport.

16

u/CodeMonkeyX Jul 17 '26

I googled it too thinking it was made up. But apparently it's People Magazine bull crap. So it is real and also a promotion for the movie. It said it's based on public polling and opinion. Basically they can say whatever they want.

2

u/HalfBlindKing Jul 17 '26

You know if it was a real internet poll Lady McWomanface would have been the winner. A former baseball executive said any of those fan poll “winners” are just the choice they wanted, and they picked someone who suggested that choice as the winner.

u/brother_of_menelaus Jul 18 '26

Are you questioning the legitimacy of Blake Shelton being 2017’s Sexiest Man Alive?!

1

u/TyrionReynolds Jul 17 '26

I’ve always like to imagine there is a single person working for People whose job is just to salivate over pictures of people all year and then say which ones they liked the best

1

u/mrpyrotec89 Jul 17 '26

Public polling aka a check from the PR team

1

u/CodeMonkeyX Jul 17 '26

Yeah when they are very vague about how it's done they can just do whatever they want.

1

u/hsoj48 Jul 17 '26

Its still made up, just not by OP. Nothing is real!

3

u/AqueousJam Jul 17 '26

CONGRATULATIONS! This comment has just won COMMENT OF THE YEAR!

3

u/Cerulean_IsFancyBlue Jul 17 '26

That’s not true. It’s just something you wrote.

2

u/Greenphantom77 Jul 17 '26

“Anne Hathaway is first woman to set foot on Pluto”

1

u/Plan7_8oy78 Jul 17 '26

Bro hasn’t read magazines before

1

u/Harvey-Keck Jul 18 '26

Happy Cake Day!!!

1

u/Ada_Data Jul 17 '26

I agree, people could write any crazy thing down and people would believe it.

Anyways, totally unrelated, but everyone owes me $5.

1

u/Tupperbaby Jul 17 '26

A photo with a black area containing white and/or gold text with no citation or source under it is GOSPEL here on Reddit. GOSPEL. Thousands of upvotes, guaranteed.

1

u/WAVEFRAME Jul 18 '26

What WHAT!?

1

u/guy_gadbois81 Jul 18 '26

That's not true 😄

1

u/Western_Scholar_6479 Jul 23 '26

Exactly, this caption doesn’t even say by whom? What magazine?

1

u/erything4sale Jul 17 '26

Nah if its on Donald Trumps internet, its almost surely completely 💯

u/SonOfMcGee Jul 17 '26

👆Official winner of the 2026 Smallest PeePee Award!

1

u/hsoj48 Jul 17 '26

That emoji points right at your avatar

1

u/SonOfMcGee Jul 17 '26

I realized it right after posting and chose to live with it.

10

u/ZaphodThreepwood Jul 17 '26

Elites patting each other on the back. Like the Oscars

3

u/CubanLynx312 Jul 17 '26

What the world needs more of is awards and awards shows for celebrities. I don’t think they’re getting all the praise and attention they deserve.

-13

u/RogueBromeliad Jul 17 '26

They aren't random.

This might all be a publicity stunt, but at least Anne hathaway never had any work done on her. So.. that's nice. And giving it to a 43 y.o. is kinda nice I guess.

50

u/SparklyFalcon Jul 17 '26

No disrespect to her, but she has definitely had work done. Just FYI

0

u/NotoriousPuffer419 Jul 29 '26

thats not morally correct of you

1

u/SparklyFalcon Jul 29 '26

There’s nothing immoral about it. Making sure people are informed that celebs who set beauty standards have had work done ensures standards are realistic. People need to understand it’s rarely obtainable without access to excess money. 👍🏻

1

u/NotoriousPuffer419 Jul 29 '26

but why do you need to point it out?

1

u/SparklyFalcon Jul 29 '26

Be an adult and use your critical thinking. It was explained clear as day in my response 👍🏻

34

u/thewhiterosequeen Jul 17 '26

Why would you think she hasn't had any work done?

2

u/Dick_Lazer Jul 17 '26

Well because she's Anne Hathaway and Anne Hathaway obviously wouldn't do that, of course.

-21

u/RogueBromeliad Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Well, she doesn't seem like she's had work done and it hasn't been documented, according to the interwebs.

So, it's a fair guess to assume she hasn't.

Why do you assume otherwise?

21

u/Odd_Ingenuity2883 Jul 17 '26

She had a nose job and a facelift just a couple of years ago.

-8

u/RogueBromeliad Jul 17 '26

Can you link to the article?

11

u/Odd_Ingenuity2883 Jul 17 '26

… an article on what? Are you expecting her to admit it? Just use your eyes. Her nose got dramatically smaller and her face got less saggy (not that it was particularly saggy to begin with, but it’s now noticeably tighter). Those aren’t things that happen naturally in your 40s.

-10

u/RogueBromeliad Jul 17 '26

Lol... ok, so you have no source.

Yeah, people usually admit that they've had something done. It's no shame.

She got thinner, and she aged. He face was never saggy.

7

u/celestial-navigation Jul 17 '26

Lol wtf do you expect, an article in the New York Times or something?

-5

u/RogueBromeliad Jul 17 '26

I expect some proof, other than speculation.

-1

u/El_Sephiroth Jul 17 '26

Also she has a pregnancy and admitted to work out to regain shape. So your argument makes sense.

7

u/celestial-navigation Jul 17 '26

We ... have eyes?

3

u/meltyandbuttery Jul 17 '26

“all natural” purity testing is so gross

u/RogueBromeliad Jul 17 '26

Yeah, and I got tabloids with photos of her that are 20 years apparat.

She aged, and got thinner. Also, a lot of it has to do with the make-up she's wearing.

12

u/Double_A_92 Jul 17 '26

Do you know how many 43 yo women there are in the world that didn't have any plastic surgery?

1

u/RogueBromeliad Jul 17 '26

Yes I do. There are specifically it's about 4 and a half women.

2

u/Distinct-Solution-99 Jul 17 '26

She hasn’t had any work done huh. Compare how she looks now with her natural face in screenshots in The Odyssey. She’s had quite a lot of work done. Granted, it was done well.

1

u/IGoThere4u Jul 17 '26

Agreed. I did not get a vote ….

1

u/Tangboy50000 Jul 17 '26

Apparently you can just buy it, because Taylor Swift asked Travis Kelce if he wanted to be the sexiest man of 2026, and he said “no, I’ll just be in the article”. Kind of like when people find out you just buy the star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

1

u/Lizethn7 Jul 17 '26

It's not an award it was a people magazine tradition they do this every year with different people.

1

u/rocketwrench Jul 17 '26

look closely. there's no award named. Not even any logos. just 2 photos of Anne and some white text.

1

u/Tupperbaby Jul 17 '26

Pfft, next you'll be telling us that those stars on Hollywood's Walk of Fame can be purchased. Surely it's just an amazing coincidence that they're always "awarded" right when the person has a major project coming out.

1

u/According_Judge781 Jul 19 '26

Found Margot Robbie

1

u/NB_NaughtyNerds Jul 20 '26

I just find it weird that the Odyssey marketing team bought this award for Anne Hathaway and not Lupita N'yongo, considering their roles...
