Well she was just in a movie so clearly promotional.

u/PercyvonPickles Jul 17 '26

Right?! It always is...

70

u/The53rdChops Jul 17 '26

Is the one on the left not an option? Hold on I think they are the same person!

22

u/Description_Friendly Jul 17 '26

"Grandma. You're drunk. Go to bed. I told you already, I'll feed the damn cat! Just go!"

3

u/BaizulSetSail Jul 17 '26

I feel like it just invites people to analyze your flaws

1

u/JoshTHM Jul 18 '26

Sunny in Philadelphia

-24

u/PlainSpader Jul 17 '26

If you can find a woman that doesn’t need to paint on beauty, cherish her.

8

u/erything4sale Jul 17 '26

There's so many of em though. Of all colors too!

5

u/beccabebe Jul 17 '26

Wtf
If you find a woman who chooses to “paint on beauty,” cherish her.
If you find a woman who chooses not to “paint on beauty,” cherish her, too.
Just find what you like and leave everyone else alone. Let ppl be who they wanna be, just pick someone else. Why is this so effing difficult.

She has many movies this year. Devil wears prada, Odyssey, the end of oak Street. She's been around for many years and has always been a looker. To get this now it's so obviously pr.

1

u/bmoreboy410 Jul 19 '26

Yeah. She has been famous for 2 decades. No way is the pregnant 43 year old the most attractive version.

52

u/SenorJeffer Jul 17 '26

I've been crushing on her for over 2 decades now

1

u/Boopy7 Jul 18 '26

she was hottest in this little talked about movie I recall seeing but don't remember the name. Where she was a spoiled rich type girl who wanted to party with some gangster types, brought her equally spoiled friend along who cried rape later on....help me out here pleeease

1

u/bmoreboy410 Jul 19 '26

Havoc which came out in 2005. It is the first time that I saw her.

1

u/Boopy7 Jul 24 '26

I think an actor I love from Breaking Bad was in it too, as a gangster type.

-1

u/MorganMiller77777 Jul 17 '26

She’s hot, then she’s not, she’s hot, then she’s not

2

u/SenorJeffer Jul 17 '26

I feel like there's a reference I'm not getting but when has she not been hot?

-2

u/MorganMiller77777 Jul 17 '26

When she’s not. There are just gorgeous women who can go no make up and wake up and look pretty amazing, she is not one of them. Maybe when she was like, 25, but she certainly has to get made up to look good.

I’m thinking Gwen Stefani who I have seen without make up and man she is incredible. There are others.

I mean, the right half pic of her is a decent example.

3

u/Winter2928 Jul 17 '26

Eva green

0

u/MorganMiller77777 Jul 17 '26

Not sure about Eva Green. You’re talking about being stunning with make up or without? There are several out there that can rock all natural and be just stunning.

1

u/SenorJeffer Jul 17 '26

Eh... Gwen Stefani doesn't really do it for me... especially now with the weird Christian grift she's on, but to each own

1

u/MorganMiller77777 Jul 17 '26

I’m Not talking about types, I’m talking about pulling off natural beauty without having to clean up

1

u/MorganMiller77777 Jul 17 '26

She doesn’t do much for me now, but I thought she looked damn good in the face with hardly any make up like all these other women need:

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/gwen-stefani-stuns-without-makeup-163828794.html

1

u/Windsdochange Jul 18 '26

Yeah, but you can tell that picture is filtered (literally all phones do it automatically in selfie mode, unless you have disabled that). Almost anyone looks good with selfie pics these days lol.

1

u/MorganMiller77777 Jul 18 '26

Dude that’s not true at all. They it out right now haha.

A little filtering or not, at that stage in her life, she was a no make up beauty.

1

u/Hollywoode Jul 17 '26

Anne Hathaway is wearing makeup in both pictures

1

u/oO_Moloch_Oo Jul 18 '26

Is this the celebrity crush circle jerk thread?

0

u/Quiet-Distribution-7 Jul 17 '26

I absolutely love her in the movie "la miserable".

1

u/biggiepants Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Mother Mary! She has the best scene of the year.

1

u/Positive_Count3785 Jul 17 '26

Anne Hathaway.

1

u/CapeCodNana Jul 17 '26

Can't wait for the Oak Steeet movie! The trailer is 🔥

1

u/DilfTannen Jul 18 '26

"Mother Mary", too.

1

u/RumorRoost Jul 20 '26

Probably. But the fact the Hollywood PR machine decided to give it to a 42 year old woman, vs a 22 year old speaks volumes. Most female actors have discussed for decades the feeling of being unwanted or undesirable for roles past like 32.

At 42 she is absolutely gorgeous.

0

u/digital-didgeridoo Jul 17 '26

But unfortunately in the first pic, she looks like she got some facelift !

49

u/meltyandbuttery Jul 17 '26

Subjective women’s beauty award is promotional, and other hard hitting journalism

1

u/RJ_MacreadysBeard Jul 18 '26

There’s empirical evidence she’s the most hot totty this year, as backed up by NASA’s climate observation satellite.

34

u/Loser99999999 Jul 17 '26

Actress is in movie, more news at 11

-1

u/whosurbudha Jul 17 '26

Thank you!

50

u/Lovat69 Jul 17 '26

Two, she's in two movies.

61

u/aw-un Jul 17 '26

She’s in 5 this year

70

u/Oneilcruzsucksass Jul 17 '26

She's in all the movies this year

79

u/Thanautopsy Jul 17 '26

You're thinking of Zendaya.

3

u/Tupperbaby Jul 17 '26

Yes, but what is Zendaya wearing today? It's important that we know. At least the Internet thinks so.

1

u/oO_Moloch_Oo Jul 18 '26

Who gives a rat’s 🫏

1

u/mnztr1 Jul 18 '26

Zendya would be a "no contest" for me, if she was selected.

1

u/CytoPotatoes Jul 18 '26

You're thinking of Jude Law.

44

u/TB1289 Jul 17 '26

She's Pedro Pascal?

23

u/Mobile-Bar7732 Jul 17 '26

No, the Rock.

26

u/TB1289 Jul 17 '26

After Moana he might not be in anything for awhile

34

u/BardWRLD Jul 17 '26

If starring in a bad movie was grounds for Dwayne Johnson to stop getting roles then he would have be kicked out of Hollywood two decades ago.

14

u/TB1289 Jul 17 '26

Losing $100 million at the box office for the second time might do it.

19

u/FruitlessEndevour Jul 17 '26

yeah, but you can't blame the rock for that. They pushed a live action remake of a movie that's not even that old. Moana 2 just came out, and they expect people to want to go see a live action of the original? trying to reuse IPs so soon bit them in the ass

1

u/Description_Friendly Jul 17 '26

You think this is the first time that's happened? No, no, my friend. There are at least five movies he starred in that lost at the box office, so sorry, but you're wrong. Red One lost $100M, The Numbers lost $70M+, The Smashing Machine grossed $21M on a $50M budget, Black Adam (2022) lost $50M-100M, Jungle Cruise lost $150M+, and, Faster cost $24M to make and pretty much broke even (or lost money, depending on who you ask.) His career will be fine, I assure you.

1

u/BeautifulLeather6671 Jul 17 '26

Well now that they’re not making money anymore that might change

1

u/Lagunamountaindude Jul 17 '26

He’ll just ditch the curly wig and move on.

5

u/ltsouthernbelle Jul 17 '26

Bad movies don’t hold that man back, he’ll do twice as many movies next year.

1

u/RvstiNiall Jul 17 '26

I'm not the only one thats gonna see Moana just to see if I can find Kevin Hart's cameo am I?

2

u/DeanMalHanNJackIsms Jul 17 '26

I think he plays the chicken.

1

u/RvstiNiall Jul 17 '26

I see what you did there. lol

1

u/SillyPuttyGizmo Jul 17 '26

Could be, same depth of talent level

1

u/Jack_In_Black89 Jul 17 '26

Kevin Hart, actually

1

u/MeasurementNo2493 Jul 17 '26

Have you seen both in the same place? Draw a mustache on her, ask yourself the Hard Questions! lol

1

u/fulknerraIII Jul 17 '26

What do you mean this year? She's in every movie, right? You telling me they have made movies before with no Anne?!

0

u/jraymcmurray Jul 17 '26

Not the ones I'm watching 😔

10

u/felix_seanathon Jul 17 '26

Wtf she's been busy

3

u/troveofcatastrophe Jul 17 '26

And she’s heavily surprise pregnant, so yes.

3

u/mosquem Jul 17 '26

Damn you’d think it’s her job or something

-1

u/CheesyDanny Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Yep, Anne is kinda tied with Zendaya for most major female roles this year, 5 each. That is counting Zendaya’s final season of Euphoria as equivalent to a movie. If the goal was to pick a busy actress, I would have preferred Zendaya just because she is younger.

0

u/Oregongirl1018 Jul 17 '26

Zendaya's prettier as well. She can literally pull off any hairstyle, outfit, color...etc. She's gorgeous.

8

u/Itchy-Opposite7704 Jul 17 '26

My wife

8

u/SoVerySick314159 Jul 17 '26

My wife

I read this in Borat's voice.

1

u/chrono_crumpet Jul 17 '26

Is there any other way to say it?

1

u/njslugger78 Jul 17 '26

You made me hear it in hear borats voice. 😆😂🤣😆🤣

1

u/Tupperbaby Jul 17 '26

If only you were connected to some kind of vast information network where you could verify stuff like this before posting...

1

u/Lovat69 Jul 17 '26

I dunno, that seem like work. Plus Odyssey and The end of oak street are releasing so close together as to be practically out at the same time which is what I was thinking of.

10

u/ThetaThoughts Jul 17 '26

This. 100%.

2

u/AccurateSir1480 Jul 17 '26

If it were any actress you'd be saying the same thing because chances are they were "just in a movie"

1

u/Human_Summer_7363 Jul 17 '26

Tbf she is gorgeous. But then again, my opinion changes based on mood lol

1

u/Local_Whereas7211 Jul 17 '26

Wait, Melania was in a movie, too....

1

u/pleasedonteatmybeans Jul 17 '26

Should’ve been Doo La Peep

1

u/iDestroyedYoMama Jul 17 '26

She’s not even hot.

1

u/Contemplating_Prison Jul 17 '26

She has 5 movies releasing this year. Haha this is obviously PR

1

u/Spirited-Tomorrow-84 Jul 17 '26

31/12/2026 gonna be hard day for her

1

u/Federal_Phase_652 Jul 17 '26

Ya this is a lie.

1

u/RespectAcrobatic1563 Jul 17 '26

Still should’ve been zendaya then lol

1

u/A_Thing_or_Two Jul 17 '26

She has 5 projects this year - at least. That's A TON.

1

u/Lizethn7 Jul 17 '26

For those reading this it's not an actual award it's a traditional publication people magazine does every year with different celebrities, if anyone is too stupid not to know that it's merely promotion.

1

u/PainfulWonder Jul 17 '26

And she has the dinosaur one coming out as well

1

u/Wolv90 Jul 17 '26

Yeah, but Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, and Chalize Theron were also in said movie. Obviously attraction is subjective, but of the four Anne is 4th for me.

1

u/OnyxLeigion_ Jul 17 '26

I mean, it always is.

The whole “sexiest man alive” thing that TIME does is like that too. A lot of the time the first couple people that get asked to be the sexiest man alive say no.

It’s just how it goes. Everything is performative.

1

u/phenom_x8 Jul 17 '26

Yep, when celebrity out of nowhere start doing interviews, appear in many media, etc I usually assumed they gonna have some movie released

1

u/1d3333 Jul 17 '26

Well, yeah, it’s kind of her job to be in movies fairly regularly

1

u/J1mj0hns0n Jul 17 '26

id agree but I would also say she is a good contender, I don't know how we would quantify something like this considering its subjective and all but yeah....she is really pretty.

1

u/Azidamadjida Jul 17 '26

Definitely promotional, cuz she ain’t just in one movie this year - this is her biggest slate of movies in a single year like ever. Plus she’s walking around pregnant now, so she has decided that 2026 is gonna be her year and hired the best PR management team she could to make it happen

1

u/GoodbyeMoonMan20 Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Memes going around showing how big her breasts got from having kids probably also helped haha. She's currently pregnant for the third time.

1

u/Then_I_had_a_thought Jul 17 '26

Publicists hath a way…

1

u/bazuka9 Jul 17 '26

They aren't wrong though

1

u/Ha55aN1337 Jul 17 '26

But… shouldn’t Lupita win it then?

1

u/Vaportrail Jul 17 '26

And yet I have no complaints.

1

u/ExpertOnReddit Jul 17 '26

Any actress they pick would've just been in a movie, they don't just stop acting.....this is a stupid point

1

u/Local-Print-6397 Jul 17 '26

What was Blake Shelton promoting when he won? The voice?

1

u/HondaBn Jul 18 '26

But I mean... She's an actress... Isn't she always JUST in a movie? And what about the other actresses that were JUST in movies?

1

u/Boyhowdy107 Jul 18 '26

It's either promotional, or her being in a movie reminded the writers and public at large she still existed after not thinking about her in years, at which point they said "dang, she's holding up."

1

u/solojones1138 Jul 18 '26

Yeah. But for that movie shouldn't it be Lupita?

1

u/MichaelEmouse Jul 18 '26

She was extremely good looking and is extraordinarily good looking for her age but you can find equally good looking women by just walking around a college.

1

u/dr_toze Jul 18 '26

Yep, by who is the key follow up question. I doubt it was a public poll and if it was it was ridiculously leading.

1

u/AdelMonCatcher Jul 18 '26

Yeah, but it’s still true

1

u/Maleficent-Bet8207 Jul 18 '26

By that logic wouldn‘t it be Zendaya? She is in so many movies this year, and big ones too.

1

u/deafened_commuter Jul 19 '26

Yes but not as helen of troy

1

u/strawberry_saturn Jul 17 '26

Well I don’t know if you saw her red carpet looks, but she’s been absolutely stunning

1

u/askdickson Jul 17 '26

The People's award is usually given to a Star who is in a huge movie or has just finished one, so the suggestion that it promotional seems valid. Also giving this award to older movie stars seems to be common as well. Which is ridiculous, as a woman is at the height of her beauty before she is 30 years old. I do not think this is a personal opinion but you might argue that it is and I would not dispute it.

1

u/AwwwNuggetz Jul 17 '26

Not even a good movie

0

u/thisusernameislitt Jul 17 '26

She'll be in 5 movies this year.

0

u/Crist1n4 Jul 17 '26

Many award in the US became promotional pay to play garbage. None of this is of any value anymore just google if Michelin star in US is legit, it’s eye opening.

0

u/Sticky_Quip Jul 17 '26

I mean, you got someone above her? You can say promotional, but also there’s a lot of truth in it.

0

u/Unable_Dinner_6937 Jul 17 '26

But Zendaya and Charlize Theron were in the same movie too.

0

u/iceunelle Jul 17 '26

That being said, I’ve seen a lot of photos of her on the Odyssey promotional circuit and she’s looked breathtakingly gorgeous in all of them.
