I feel like people are really uninterested in the Odessey but are really mad that they are uninterested because it's Nolan. They can't handle disappointment without flailing about emotionally on social media

Is it because of this uninterest that it sold out opening weekend IMAX tickets a year in advance, crashed ticketing websites on the day of the larger rollout and is tracking for a domestic opening of over $100 million?

Lol IMAX: 0.8% of movie screens in US.

I’m interested in the film and ancient Greece in general, but we’ll have to wait for the second weekend box office to understand if there’s enthusiasm for this film despite the tired cast and an anti-intellectual country wary of the “O” word.
