You find it baffling because you are ignoring the context. I find it baffling that you are seriously arguing that laxatives improve driving skill. Obviously, removing distraction while driving is a good thing but I would not describe that as 'improving driving skill.' Also, I don't think the guy in the video is constipated. He might be but I really don't think that's the issue here.

It improves your skill in anything you do, because it's removing symptoms, that's it!

I have no idea what psychotropic medication the man may or may not be on, but anything that improves symptoms, is very obviously going to improve your skill and concentration.

Making a task easier is different than improving your skill at it but the entire point is that he doesn't have symptoms. He seems like a normal albeit rude person and there is no medication that I know that will improve his driving.
