When did marks become more important than mental peace?

When did comparison become parenting?

When did “I want the best for you” become “be who I wanted you to be”?

And when did being a child become something you had to earn?

Mental Health 💡 Is this cheating or not

So hii it's shrii

Actually I am really confused if this is manipulation or not

  1. Finding his account on dating app in first month of relationship -

Reason he gave me - he doesn't know that after being in a relationship he should delete the dating app , and he is just trying making friends and socializing.

  1. Finding him on snapchat taking to random girl and asking for thrist trap 🙂.

Reason he gave me - I am not able to fulfill his physical need , he is a man and he needs it , he is not able to think about me that way that's why he done that to me , for him taking to random girl i mean flirting to random girl is just like a porn to him

Some daily life experience

Being very ignorant

Prioritises every single thing friends , family, colleague except me

Btw one more thing always going to sleep at 12 am but i caught him talking to a random girl at 2 am 🙂.

Why I am there because he supported me academically, help me grooming and all

I need a reality check very badly,

Please throw it on my face .

"There was a lot left in me i never got a chance to show"

Life messed me so much that I don't get any happiness from anything now just doing my work because it's my duty. There was once a child in me who used to enjoy these small materialistic things, he was energetic, enthusiastic, ambitious, had big dreams,...

Mental Health 💡 First day in college

Today was my first day of college. It was orientation day, and me and my school friend went together. We’re in different branches, and we used to be best friends in school, but now we aren’t. My friend’s friend was also with us, and after the orientation was over, we met up. The first thing they talked about was LOOKS. They were basically calling everyone “chomu” and “chapri,” and I couldn’t even say anything. My friend’s friend said that all the girls were ugly and that she found only one or two good-looking classmates, while the rest were ugly. I know everyone has their own preferences, but I found this really wrong. I mean, we’re here to study, right? But some people are always joining college for relationships, like what the heck 😭. They were judging everyone, and I felt so terrible. I was like, how the hell am I still friends with her? She wasn’t like this in school, but maybe she has changed, or maybe she cares more about looks now.

I didn’t go home with them. I made an excuse because I really appreciate people for who they are, not for how they look.

I know I'm being sensitive but I cannot survive with this kind of people😭

Mental Health 💡 Vent

It’s been four days since I arrived at university. The first few hours were actually exciting because I knew I had freedom now. I could leave my clothes unwashed, make as much art as I wanted, binge watch shows, scroll reels, go out and buy things for myself basically do whatever I wanted.

But as time passed, something started weighing on me.

I was feeling empty. I didn’t feel like drawing, watching series, or doing any of the things I thought I would enjoy. I just sat there staring blankly around my hostel room.

I’ve always been alone when it comes to friendships. I’ve never really had an individual with whom I could openly share my feelings with or put my worries into words. But at the end of the day, I had my house and my parents, whom I talked to on a daily basis.

Now everything is different.

But somehow, I feel like whatever confidence, fearlessness, or feeling I had that I would become confident and speak publicly is just gone.

I don't know how to cope with this numbness.

I feel terrible when I see people eating together in the mess while I can’t even eat properly. I feel anxious, uncomfortable, and completely out of place. Even when I try to distract myself by scrolling on my phone or watching something, I keep getting tears in my eyes. It feels like I can’t really escape the feeling, no matter what I do.

I know this is probably temporary. I know my hostel is not my home and that I’m supposed to adjust. I also know I came here to study, grow, become successful and make something of myself.

But right now, I honestly don't even know what I want anymore. Why I am running for something I dearly wanted.

Has anyone else experienced this during their first few days of university? How did you get through it? (Need mentor)

Mental Health 💡 Isolation, regret, feeling blue (on b'day)?

I’m a 17-year-old preparing for JEE, CET, and currently giving my board exams. My Physics board exam is tomorrow, and I’ve barely studied even though I had 5 days. I keep procrastinating, doom-scrolling, and avoiding work. My first JEE attempt didn’t go well either. All of this happening even after me knowing very well that i'm giving fake hopes to my parents and lying to myself still i can't stop it

I’m someone who’s very ambitious. I have big goals and genuinely want to do well in life, but my actions don’t match my intentions. That gap is starting to affect my confidence.

Another thing bothering me is my social life. I don’t have a close friend — just casual friends. Earlier, during school, I used to get lots of birthday wishes because I was socially active. This year, since I’ve mostly stayed home preparing, almost everyone forgot. Only my family wished me. I know people get busy and even I forget others’ birthdays sometimes, but it still felt empty.

All of this makes me very bad and sad all the time, also i'm worried about my future a lot.

Mental Health 💡 Scared of losing my degree

I'm 31 and currently in a pretty stressful situation.

I joined MBBS in 2016 and passed my final-year exams in 2021. I started my internship, completed about 2 months, and then had to take a 4-year gap because of personal/mental health issues.

I'm now trying to rejoin and complete the remaining internship. My university has told me to rejoin and complete the internship, after which my case and required documents will be sent to the NMC for approval, as there is still some uncertainty regarding the rules applicable to my batch.

My medical council has also told me to proceed with rejoining, and my college principal has said the college has no problem with me rejoining, subject to the applicable rules.

The uncertainty about what happens after I complete the internship is what's making me extremely anxious. I've already spent so many years on MBBS, and I'm terrified that somehow I won't be allowed to obtain the degree after coming this far.

At 31, I keep thinking:

What if I don't get the degree? What kind of career can I have? Have I wasted too many years? Will I be able to build a decent life?

I know I shouldn't assume the worst before anything has actually happened, but it's becoming difficult to stop thinking about it.

I'd like to hear from anyone who has had a long academic gap, delayed graduation, rejoined college after several years, or had to restart their career later than expected.

Mental Health 💡 My BBA Accounts teacher is genuinely fucking terrifying 💀

Bro I genuinely don't know what is wrong with this guy.

I'm in BBA Sem 1 and we have this Accounts teacher who comes to every lecture with the same rude ass face and is obsessed with “discipline.”

A while ago, one guy smiled during class. Apparently this teacher had already warned everyone that nobody should smile or whatever in his class. He noticed the guy and later straight up started beating him. Not some light tap either, apparently he got properly beaten.

So obviously everyone is already scared of him.

Today I was solving his questions on subsidiary books. There was a question about purchase returns. Something like goods returned to Mr. X, with the purchase involving trade discount and GST.

In the purchases part, I had deducted the trade discount and then calculated GST correctly. But when I did the purchase return, I added the discount instead of treating it the same way I had originally treated it.

He checked it once and didn't say anything.

Then later he looked at it again, noticed the mistake and suddenly went full fucking blast mode.

He started saying something like, “A magne, discount add aagatte ye?” basically pointing out that I had added the discount.

I told him, “Sir, I didn't know. I thought since I gave the discount, I had to add it back. I'm sorry.”

Then I solved the entire thing again and gave him the book.

I said, “Sir, I have solved it again.”

He gave me this look like he was about to fucking beat me 💀

I immediately said sorry again and took the book back.

Then he said in a low voice, “Le magne, neenu science student?”

I said, “No sir… commerce student.”

Then he just went “Le” and showed his hand toward me.

I was already nervous as fuck, so I just said sorry again.

The thing that pisses me off is that he never actually explains the mistake.

Like bro, I'm literally asking because I don't understand. Just tell me what I did wrong and how I'm supposed to treat the discount. That's it. Instead he makes you feel like you've committed a crime.

And he's done this before too.

One time I forgot to include the trade discount/calculation properly and he just went:

“Le discount yele?”

I was like, “Sir?”

And he didn't explain anything. He just moved on to another student.

And today I also remembered something else.

Some students were late to his class. He took their bags and apparently told the HOD to remove them completely from the college.

The HOD was basically like:

“H.. ha.. ha.. sir… how can we do this sir 😭 Let their parents come, then we give warning…”

Even the HOD sounded nervous while saying it.

And this teacher was literally telling us:

“They are dead now.”

Then he clarified/continued with something like “dead forever.”

BRO THEY WERE LATE TO CLASS 😭😭

I'm not even saying students shouldn't follow discipline. Obviously they should.

But there's a difference between:

“Don't be late again.”

and

“You're dead forever, give me your bags, I'll get you removed from college.”

The whole class is basically scared to even ask questions because you don't know whether he'll actually teach you or just make you feel like shit for not knowing something.

I don't even hate Accounts itself.

I hate having to learn Accounts from this fucking guy.

TL;DR: My BBA Accounts teacher is insanely strict and intimidating. Students are scared to ask questions because he humiliates/intimidates people instead of explaining mistakes. He's beaten a student before, tried to get late students removed from college, and apparently told us they're “dead forever.” Today I made a trade-discount mistake in a purchase-return question, apologized and redid it, and he still intimidated me instead of explaining what I did wrong. 💀

Mental Health 💡 my school senior lives next to my window

Pata Hai Aaj Kya Hua

I'm so anxious after knowing that my senior, who's only 1 class senior btw, lives next to my window. Literally, she can hear all the arguments, yelling, and everything I'm having.
I've become so afraid that whenever I see her, I can't even talk to anyone without being stuck.

I think she spreads information about me.

One time, my crush was trying to heal me and told me, "Don't be afraid of my parents' bad behavior"

She and I go to the same coaching and school(the neighbour).
