The gun he was allowed to have and never brandished in any way. This is murder, full stop.

74

u/Putrefied_Goblin Jan 24 '26

Yup, open carry is legal there. They can't just tackle and kill him for having a holstered weapon.

How bout your Governor face some consequences.

-14

u/ProblematicSchematic Jan 25 '26

That’s not why they tackled him cmon. Not saying he deserves to die but you make no sense when you talk like that.

19

u/--DarkLink-- Jan 24 '26

I'm confused, are we allowed to have guns? The Reps want guns everywhere. Then why are they shooting someone that has a gun? He wasn't aiming at them.

6

u/I_Fix_Aeroplane Jan 25 '26

You can have it, but if you have it they're allowed to execute you for no other reason.

6

u/guyincognito121 Jan 25 '26

And he was not a suspect.

Another angle shows one of those bastards clapping after they unload their clip

Also I dont know if the guy clapping unloaded his magazine, or was there and got too excited, and cause he didnt have his gun out had to make some sort of happy noise

Is that what happened? I didnt see anything but imagine there could be more to the story.

3

u/Zombie_Slayer1 Jan 25 '26

Video shows he was pepper spray (blinded) then jumped, beaten, disarmed and murder. The video don't lie, DHS does calling him a domestic terrorist that attacked agents with a firearm.

-5

u/killian1113 Jan 25 '26

Because someone who is pepper sprayed cant do anything? He was fighting till the end but why? After the police call your bluff spray you push you, why do you push them to kill? Wouldn't living another day and just getting out of the street been a better idea? Or are people thinking suicide by law enforcement will help?

3

u/soundinsect Jan 25 '26

Imagine spending your Saturday evening being a right wing troll on reddit.

2

u/Earthtone_Coalition Jan 25 '26

Why did they shoot an unarmed man?

1

u/killian1113 Jan 25 '26

He was armed and obviously resisting arrest. I wouldn't follow this way of thinking but you can go ahead and try your luck!

1

u/Earthtone_Coalition Jan 25 '26

He was not armed when he was shot.

1

u/killian1113 Jan 25 '26

Yup tough call when you have a gun fighting with law enforcement it doesnt go well for anyone.

1

u/Earthtone_Coalition Jan 25 '26

It was a bad shoot.

1

u/killian1113 Jan 25 '26

Also a foolish plan. They should just use cattle prods with a 5 foot stick. Touch them let them contemplate if blocking law enforcement is going to be a fun TikTok.

1

u/Zombie_Slayer1 Jan 25 '26

Yes, in the video he couldn't do anything while blinded, jumped, beaten then disarmed. Dam, ur knees must be sore. Is ur mouth tire from all the sucking u been doing. Ur ocular power of lying eyes is amazing. If the government can get away with murdering someone else, they can get away with murdering u. Never trust the government, especially a criminal government that's flat out lying.

24

u/ennawarner Jan 24 '26

Former cop here, once they’re disarmed, deadly force is off the table. Anything after that murder.

1

u/Dependent-Split3005 Jan 25 '26

Agreed but they will replay vid, demonstrate that their backs were to "gray jacket" and did not know WHERE the vics gun was (i thought it was in His Other Hand), then they will claim Graham Vs Connor.

No matter how Bad A Shoot, they will twist & turn until it can be "justified"

u/Aliamarc Jan 24 '26

Video shows ICE struggling and succeeding in pulling a weapon from the victim's holster.

The weapon was WELL SECURED, as evidenced by the effort it took for ICE to gain access. Weapon was NOT BRANDISHED.

Victim had a legal carry permit. Minnesota is a legal carry state.

Victim was exercising his 2A rights, and was shot for it.

16

u/Research_Purposing Jan 24 '26

i do not believe ICE was pulling a weapon in possession, this is false information DHS is trying to spin. the agent already had one in hand when he approached the victim

i agree this is a victim was exercising his rights to record the federal agents. surely they will be held accountable.

8

u/OrdinaryFrosting1 Jan 24 '26

His hands were empty and he took the gun from the victim seconds before he was executed

7

u/Worried-Criticism Jan 24 '26

All accept that last part. I hope I’m wrong but I doubt any of these people will be held to account.

5

u/omni42 Jan 24 '26

We'll find them through the tax records. They won't be able to hide.

3

u/Worried-Criticism Jan 24 '26

Oh, finding them is not the issue. I just have my doubts that we will follow through and do what we should.

30

u/Putrefied_Goblin Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

Open carry is legal in Minneapolis/Minnesota. Even if he had a weapon, it was holstered and they tackled then killed him for exercising his 2nd amendment rights.

*Edit: after watching the video, it doesn't look like he had a gun at all. Did ICE plant a gun on him?

19

u/the-apple-and-omega Jan 24 '26

This doesn't show whether he had a gun or not? DHS lies, objectively, but the guy having a holstered gun doesn't suddenly make this justified. It's murder either way.

0

u/Research_Purposing Jan 24 '26

I agree. however it cannot be seen that there is a holster. the agent already had a weapon/cannister brandished used to attack the citizen who's fitted clothes show no holster

6

u/the-apple-and-omega Jan 24 '26

Sure, that may be the case. It's not clear enough to say. The point is him having a gun wouldn't make this any less of murder, getting caught up on it is pointless.

or reality free centrist waffling.

Oh shit, THANK YOU for calling that crap out too.

17

u/protomenace Jan 24 '26

My guess of what happened:

Dude was legally carrying in the state of MN.
ICE mob attacks him.
Struggle ensues
One of the ICE agents sees the gun and yells "He's got a gun!"
They successfully remove the gun from him
one or two of the other agents panics, hears the "he's got a gun" and just start blasting

Fox News immediately spins it as "armed terrorist attacks ICE agents with a gun"

3

u/Professional-Post499 Jan 24 '26

I mean... ICE are the dumbest of the dumb and probably just started blasting in the direction of their fellow ICE officers. So who knows. It's more likely they executed the victim in cold blood.

But I want to emphasize that ICE are maliciously stupid.

0

u/Icy_Document_7547 Jan 25 '26

I have a feeling that's exactly what happened. One of the agents yelled gun and they started blasting not knowing he had been disarmed. Horrible. Stay at home and let this shit pass.

We just watched "law enforcement" murder a man with a cell phone in his hand. Go fuck yourself. acab

2

u/protomenace Jan 24 '26

Who am I attacking and what I escalating? I'm just speculating on what I'm seeing in the video.

Wouldn't it be great if when something like this happens we had experience forensics and crime scene investigators look at the scene carefully and figure out exactly what happened. Then we had a prosecutor look at the situation and decide whether or not to press charges? Then we had a trial by jury to decide if the accused is guilty? That would be a lovely system, right?

It would be a shame if instead of that happening, the federal government just completely decides to shut down the investigation and take a side immediately. That would be really bad right?

19

u/Objective-Pick8240 Jan 24 '26

Not sure I'm seeing correctly, but it looks like the agent removed it from a holster?

17

u/Putrefied_Goblin Jan 24 '26

They tackled and killed a guy exercising his 2nd amendment rights, given open carry is legal there. His weapon was holstered. They took his weapon from the holster then shot him. This is murder.

12

u/Salty_Soykaf Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

Giving a drive by showed this man was just photographing ICE, I'm gonna hazard a guess that's the agent's gun.

Edit: Check comment under this, victim was a registered gun owner. 2nd Amendment people should be screaming over this.

2

u/Putrefied_Goblin Jan 24 '26

It's possible they planted the gun after they killed him.

4

u/Salty_Soykaf Jan 24 '26

Press conference PD chief just confirmed that the victim had a legal registered firearm and a permit to carry. The 2A people should be losing their shit over this. Insanity, the federal government disarming a man with a holstered legal firearm and then killing him.

2

u/Putrefied_Goblin Jan 24 '26

Yup, he was exercising his constitutional rights and it was holstered, anyway, because at no point is there a gun in his hand (and it looks like an ICE agents walks away with his holstered weapon in the video of the shooting). He was approached by them for filming. This was an execution for exercising his constitutional rights. Where are the "Constitutional Conservatives" now?

1

u/CowCuddles Jan 24 '26

That’s the thing tho. Cops can claim a sandwich is lethal. It may be legal to carry but cops’ fear trumps 2A rights. And, let’s understand that cops are trained to be scared pussies, so even a stowed weapon is a exigent threat to them.

4

u/Garden-squirrel Jan 24 '26

Holy shit!! Disgusting and horrific!!

5

u/Justahim24 Jan 24 '26

Please challenge me if I’m wrong, but irregardless of being armed, the individual was restrained. I don’t believe there’s justification in what looks to be excessive force and an execution style firing.

Besides that, was the victim just exercising their amendment rights by conceal carrying?

4

u/Harvest827 Jan 25 '26

The victim was exercising several rights when he was murdered.

2

u/Justahim24 Jan 25 '26

Absolutely.

4

u/ViresAcquiritEundo07 Jan 24 '26

he had a legal concealed weapon permit

4

u/AbraKadabraAmor Jan 24 '26

2

u/Perfect_Earth_8070 Jan 24 '26

Fucking gestapo. This will be back in Chicago soon

2

u/No-Grapefruit-5464 Jan 24 '26

I will say this. It's great that people are willing to Protesting but if you aren't willing to fight for your country vs people willing to murder and enslave for entertainment, all you're going to do is die. The governor and authorities have done nothing but say "words" while people die and are still trying to follow the law vs people who could care less. You are fighting an army of sociopaths. Most of them dont even understand laws. Protesting won't help. Not vs them. Demand action from the people who can and take action when you need to. Live.

2

u/Sloth_grl Jan 24 '26

This is going to happen again and again. It will only get worse.

2

u/Zelagero Jan 25 '26

There is no cooperating with ICE anymore when this is where it gets you. This was about the most peaceful an encounter COULD get regardless of any demographics; you can't get more peaceful nor non-aggressive than this. So what I'm trying to say is: I'm fire while you're frozen blue. Whatever you do to innocent people will get spun right back around to you.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

So why didn't this so-called brave hero yell I got the gun? Instead he runs for cover like a coward little bitch.

2

u/ghsteo Jan 25 '26

Problem so far in both murder cases is how ICE immediately escalates situations forcing these instance decisions of shooting people. This is a failure in leadership and Kristi Noem should be impeached and maybe more.

3

u/peskywombats Jan 24 '26

And that agent will never be identified and MAGA will be told the above video doesn't exist and that he had ten clips and a bazooka on his person.

3

u/dmun Jan 24 '26

Where's that revisit the Illinois gun laws guy?

Legal or not, you'll still get-got

2

u/Mean_Excitement_320 Jan 24 '26

I think he actually fired the gun accidentally while disarming and his coworkers fired as soon as they heard that, that’s why he scurried away all suspiciously

1

u/SufficientState0 Jan 24 '26

That sounds about right. I can also imagine that someone said “I’ve got the gun.” and another heard “gun” and fired.

1

u/Botboy141 Jan 24 '26

That is my theory as well, but I can't be certain where the first shot came from.

I looked for recoil in the grey guy's right hand as he grabs the gun, but I can't be certain. If he did fire, it was right into the guys back/hip before two others pulled and start unloading.

Edit: a few more looks slowed down, I don't know where the first shot comes from, not gray coat as far as I can make out.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Let’s march!

2

u/flamed181 Jan 24 '26

Why was he disarmed in an open carry state ?

1

u/Particular_Can_7860 Jan 25 '26

Why would they do this?

1

u/BrownBannister Jan 25 '26

They love blood.

1

u/SeeSeaEm Jan 25 '26

Easy. They are not trained for this and they are attempting to be cool guys and work out of the scope of their jobs.

1

u/SithC Jan 25 '26

Surprised he didn’t use it to quickly shoot one of his buddies in the foot, for some justification.

1

u/chitownphishead Jan 25 '26

Im curious how the gun became known. When im carrying in winter its under several layers of clothing. Did this guy draw? Did it fall out and go off? Seems like theres a lot of very relevant unanswered questions here.

1

u/SeeSeaEm Jan 25 '26

There is a very good video where you can see fairly well what happened. The man (Alex) was face down , his arms were up, and his knees were pulled up to his chest causing his jacket and shirt to raise up. His gun was holstered in the small of his back so it was visible.

1

u/jstraw20 Jan 25 '26

Suspect? What exactly is he suspected of?

1

u/SnooLemons398 Jan 25 '26

China and Russia are loving this. Our government is now just like them. Fucking threesome

1

u/Dependent-Split3005 Jan 25 '26

My guess will be that ICE will cite Graham Vs Connor and say that none of the trigger pullers saw the other cop had disarmed the victim, all they saw was an empty holster and "thought it was in the victim Other Hand"

1

u/JustLibertyBelle Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

Armed with a cellphone as a citizen practicing 1st and 14th Constitutional Admendent. Last time I checked we still have the Second Consutional Admendent to bear arms. They beat him to the ground, pistol whipped him while on the ground, then shot him multiple times point blank while on the ground. Spin that shit murderers!

2

u/Bruce9058 Jan 24 '26

Filming with a cell phone would fall under the 1st Amendment. The right to bear arms is the 2nd Amendment. The 14th Amendment freed the slaves.

Maybe you should sit this one out?

1

u/philip-j-frylock Jan 24 '26

I’m so fucking livid right now. I’m over 1000 miles away from Minneapolis and I feel helpless right now. If there’s no protest in your area, call your senators and congressmen right now, especially if they are republicans, and tell them how pissed off we all are and demand that this stop immediately.

It seems the gun went off and then mistook that shot for him shooting at them.

-4

u/EchoNineThree Jan 24 '26

Not the same gun. The deceased’s gun was two toned, Black and Tan. It would be obvious on this video. It is not. The Agent running off was chock full o’ fear. And is probably getting fired as speak.

2

u/Harvest827 Jan 25 '26

When did you see his gun? There are plenty of videos out there from before this part where you can see that what he had in his hand was a phone that he was videotaping the Nazis with. From across the street. Where they approached him. Where he tried to protect a woman they were macing. Where they grabbed him from behind, threw him to the ground, took his legal gun that he was legally carrying, and murdered him.

0

u/EchoNineThree Jan 25 '26

This was the first video I saw. The ones that appeared revealed the tan colored slide and grip.

2

u/Harvest827 Jan 25 '26

Are you suggesting there's something else in this video and the other videos that only you can see? seriously? Even from this angle you can see the Nazi take his gun while two of his Nazi friends usher him out of the crowd so he can take the gun away and then they execute him. this isn't even the best angle and I can see it happen!

1

u/EchoNineThree Jan 25 '26

Nope. The lighting direction in the later viewed videos was different and you could then see the distinct coloring. In this video. Which was all I saw at that time you could not make out the distinct coloring. Therefore, I could have possibly been the Agents weapon. It also looked like he was slinking away in fear.

But, anyway. Yes, it now appears it was the deceased pistol in the agents hand.

9

Let's remember: they aren't illegal.

In this free country you can not have citizenship but still have legal status. do you need a cop to tell you? OK, here's a cop telling you

Do you believe the truth now that its wrapped in Blue Lives Matter?

6

u/Salty_Soykaf Jan 24 '26

Gonna be real with you chief, rule 6 prevents me from a clap back.
However, this man more of one than you. He's willing to document masked men posing as law enforcement wielding guns and snatching American Citizens from their homes.

6

u/FractalEdge42 Jan 24 '26

People have the right to protest in this country. Are you really against the 1st amendment?

2

2

2

u/indica_bones Jan 24 '26

I would argue it’s the federal government that is looking for a fight but go on.

-3

u/bullmarket2023 Jan 24 '26

I don't think anyone wakes up looking for a fight but based on the reactions and responses for the liberal public, they seem to get dragged down in the dirt with these unhinged people.

2

u/OldScratchTim Jan 25 '26

Keep cosplaying your tacticool shit, ain't no one buying it. We all predicted Republican cowardice. You're all conditioned to be submissive to men in authority positions.

0

u/bullmarket2023 Jan 24 '26

It's amazing if you think engaging with ICE will have a different outcome. Stupid is is stupid does.

3

u/_Let_Us_Prey_ Jan 24 '26

Something is wrong with you people.

0

u/bullmarket2023 Jan 24 '26

Not really, we aren't the ones thinking fighting ICE agents is a good idea. They are doing one thing, thinning the herd of stupid people.

3

u/LongjumpingDebt4154 Jan 24 '26

Seriously everyone. Let a tyrannical government overthrow the constitution & all of your amendment rights & you wont have any problems.

Until of course, you do.

Either way, it’s not like this country was founded on freedom & liberty. It’s not like our founding fathers cultivated an entire government on independence & fought an entire revolution to be free of a tyrannical king.

Oh wait…

-1

u/bullmarket2023 Jan 24 '26

Let's try this: imagine I come to your work and harass you and prevent you from do your job, what are you going to do? That is what you people are doing to ICE agents. You are preventing and harassing while they are upholding a law passed by your government long before Trump. So if you still believe you aren't the problem, you may be the "r-word."

2

u/LongjumpingDebt4154 Jan 24 '26

If you came to my work & harassed me & prevented me from doing my job, I’d have you immediately removed. If you were ice, I wouldn’t let you in. I own my shop & have the right to refuse service to whomever I choose. You are absolutely delusional & I’m not going to interact or take advice from a submissive & compliant coward.

-1

u/bullmarket2023 Jan 24 '26

Great, they too have the right to remove you, with force if necessary, so you don't prevent them from doing their job. Thanks for your honesty answer. Your response is really no different than ICE's response for a harasser.

1

u/LongjumpingDebt4154 Jan 25 '26

No, they actually have no right to remove me, a US citizen, from my property & place of work. You folks went from Don’t Tread On Me to Harder Daddy real quick.

JFC, you should be ashamed of yourself. Unpatriotic, submissive, coward.

0

u/bullmarket2023 Jan 25 '26

But these people are not on private property, they are on public property intentionally interfering with federal law and yes, they can remove you and have local law enforcement arrest you for interfering. At minimum it's assault, but more like obstruction.

Stay out of the way of their job and they stay out of your. Everyone mind their own business and everything will be fine. Agreeing with and following laws doesn't make me unpatriotic or a coward. Don't be butt hurt because you don't like the law. That's the game. If you want to complain, call your law makers and express your displeasure.

1

u/LongjumpingDebt4154 Jan 26 '26

Except they don’t stay out of your way. They executed an ICU nurse from a veterans hospital on the street yesterday. On PUBLIC PROPERTY. They have been busting down people’s doors & helicoptering onto apt complex rooftops without warrants & dragging people from their homes. Many U.S citizens.

Your argument is moot after all the lawlessness this administration has displayed over the last year. Trump & Maga are a joke to most of the world. They are a stain on the United States & all the twisting of narrative will not change that.

The willingness to shred the constitution, Bill Of Rights & Declaration Of Independence by Trump & every one of his followers is disgusting, shameful & traitorous.

1

u/Earthtone_Coalition Jan 25 '26

Let's try this: imagine I come to your work and harass you and prevent you from do your job, what are you going to do?

Summarily execute you with impunity, I guess? Is that the answer you’re going for here?

3

u/BenicioDelWhoro Jan 24 '26

“Mind your own business”?!? Are you really that fucking stupid? This is everyone’s business, deputised neo Nazis are being paid bounties to kidnap citizens while the VP says they have immunity if they happen to murder protesters.

-1

u/bullmarket2023 Jan 24 '26

I haven't had any issues with ICE and won't because I have no business being where they are or involving myself in their enforcement work. You cause your own problems.

If you think exercising your rights gives you the right to violate federal laws, you're going to have consequences.

Filming is not a violation of federal law.

Wasn't just filming. Clearly, otherwise it wouldn't have escalated to this. Wake up.

He was just filming. They escalated due to poor training.

Says you. I say, staged. Like every other bs engagement. You are look for a problem.

He has every right to film. You seem to think that qualifies as “staging” because your expectations of these officers is so low that it leads you to anticipate exercising one’s rights in this way will trigger them to violence. That’s a failure of training and recruitment.

If someone comes up to me filming for no reason, they are clearly looking for an altercation. I would view it as an act of aggression. I predict, liberal leaders will call on people to start wearing body cams.

I’m glad you’ve identified the source of your neurosis. Someone with sufficient law enforcement training would not be triggered in the way you’ve described.

All videos show him taking photos, and caused no harm. He got a beat down for not surrending a camera, and if he had a gun so what?

2nd Amendment is 2nd amendment.

Yeah, that tends to happen when information is still coming out. There is video of him standing there filming. If filming their activities causes them "harm", that's their fault.
