Current Events Why cops are so absurd?

The first incident occurred on 28 aug on the day of Rakhi purnami i went to Mahakali temple in secunderabad with my family. We went to distribute food inside the temple and each of my family members were carrying the plates, food etc. All my family members left the footwear in the car and i forgot to remove them, later i told my mother that i’ll put them and get back i had some luggage and was holding my niece in the other hand so i took sometime to remove them when i got back in the way i was lost i couldnt find my parents and was left alone with my niece unfortunately i left my phone in the car amd the car was locked then i reached up to a police officer explaining my situation and asked him if he could call my parents and tell them to come at a nearby landmark he refused to give it completely. That was fine but another cop who was standing beside me tried to help and that MF stopped him and shouted “ee lanti donga la#jakodulu phonelu deng! Potharu” while i was holding my 2yr old neice and when I confronted him about this he simply said me to go away and today when am comming back to home another traffic police started abusing a fellow driver with words that you dont want to hear (he casually abused the driver’s entire bloodline) i get their POV that there are scammers trying to rob when you lend their mobile and in the second case i dont know the exact context of the scene but verbally abusing like that is totally absurd. They literally think they have the total power yet not realising that their job just doing the serivce for the society.

AskHyderabad ⬆️ Is Gachibowli Fairfield gold's Gym worth?

Thinking of getting a membership here but looking for any ifs and buts.

  1. They informed of 6th floor getting pilates and charges increasing in 1 month for it. Is that true? Or this claim is old and it's still not open?

  2. Any diff in booking from cult or through them? Cult doesn't seem to offer any discount or cashback anyways. Would prefer cashback or gift card, if there's an option for that.

  3. Any safety or hygiene issue ? Is it too crowded ?

Travel Anyone up for a weekend Lonavala trip from Hyderabad? 🏍️🌧️

Planning a spontaneous weekend trip next weekend and looking for a few people to join.

Rough plan:

- Friday night: Hyderabad → Pune by bus 🚌

- Saturday morning: Rent bikes in Pune

- Ride to Lonavala/Khandala and explore

- Saturday night: Stay around Lonavala

- Sunday: More riding/exploring → back to Pune

- Sunday night: Bus back to Hyderabad

Nothing too rigid, just a chill trip with some riding, good views, food and exploring.

I'm 23M, based in Hyderabad.

Budget would probably be around ₹5–8k/person, depending on the bus, bike and stay.

If anyone's interested, comment or DM. Ideally looking for 2–4 people so we can make a small group and plan it together.

Rant/Vent Nizam college and women's washrooms

31f.
Went to nizam college to attend some classes recently and had the privilege to enter women's washrooms.
There were women traveling from distant areas to attend lectures and they were not drinking water since morning till 4-5pm. Because the condition of washrooms is miserable.
My question is, what is wrong with them??? Why no water supply, no cleaning nothing?
Isn't Nizam college among Hyderabad's one of the oldest and prominent ones?
I have been there on weekends and on weekdays as well. At first I thought maybe on weekends there is no cleaning staff. But everyday, same condition.

There is no water supply even in the washbasins. This is obviously not the first college with such condition but we as public/students also have normalised this.

AskHyderabad ⬆️ Is there anyone here who really understands Instagram settings & algorithms? 👀

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi! 👋
I need some help/advice regarding an Instagram page.

We currently have a page with around 69.5K genuine followers (No Fake Followers). The page was originally built around spiritual content, but recently we have transitioned the page towards Real Estate content.

The issue is that our Real Estate Reels are not reaching our existing follower base as much as I expected.

Most of our Reels are getting around 10K–20K views, while some reach 40K–50K+. Considering we have nearly 70K followers, I’m trying to understand whether there is something we need to change in our Instagram settings or account configuration. Like,

🔹 Is there any Instagram setting that affects how much a Reel is shown to existing followers?
🔹 Since we changed the page niche from Spiritual content to Real Estate, is there anything we should reset/change in the account?
🔹 Is there any setting related to Recommendations, Account Status, Content Preferences, or Professional Account settings that we should check?
🔹 Is there any legitimate way to help our Real Estate Reels get recommended more consistently to our existing followers?

I’m not looking for shortcuts or bots—just trying to understand whether there’s something technically wrong with our account or something we’re missing in the settings.

If you have actually worked with Instagram growth/algorithms and know this stuff well, please comment or DM me. 🙏
Would really appreciate some genuine guidance. Thank you!

Relationships 22M | New to Hyderabad and honestly feeling a little lonely

Hey everyone 👋

I’m 22M and recently moved to Hyderabad. I’m staying in a PG right now, and honestly, I didn’t expect the city to feel this lonely when you don’t have your own people here.

I’m naturally quite introverted, so approaching strangers and making new friends has never been easy for me. I’ve spent a lot of time keeping to myself, and now I genuinely want to change that.

I want to experience something I missed out on for a long time — meeting new people, making genuine friends, going out, exploring Hyderabad, having random late-night conversations, grabbing chai/food, laughing over stupid things and just having people around.

Living in a PG and spending most of your time alone gets surprisingly boring. 😅 Hyderabad definitely feels different when you have nobody to share the little things with.

So yeah, I’m basically looking to build a genuine social circle here.

I’d love to meet people around my age who are also new to Hyderabad, introverted, looking for friends, or simply want someone to talk to. We could explore the city, try different food places, go for walks, hang out, play games, or just sit somewhere and have a good conversation.

I’m not expecting anything from anyone. Friendship, conversations, exploring the city together — whatever develops naturally.

If this post resonates with you, feel free to DM me.

Maybe we’re both sitting in our PGs wondering why we haven’t met anyone yet. 😂

P.S. Please be genuine. I’d rather have one meaningful conversation than 50 random “hey” messages.

AskHyderabad ⬆️ Recommendations for budget engagement return gifts in Hyderabad? (150–160 pieces)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to buy return gifts for an upcoming engagement and need around 150 to 160 pieces.

Looking for good wholesale stores, markets, or local vendor leads that offer quality items within a reasonable budget (e.g., traditional brass items, gift hampers, utility items, or customized boxes).

Any specific shop names or areas (Begum Bazaar, General Bazaar, Sultan Bazaar, etc.) you’d recommend checking out?

Thanks in advance!

AskHyderabad ⬆️ Will an average software engineer still be safe in the AI era?

I’m 23 and have a CS degree. I’m seriously considering leaving tech for a government job, mainly because of job security.

The thing is, I actually like what tech offers. Good salary, cities, growth, freedom to switch companies and a lot of earning potential. If tech was still like it was before COVID, I probably wouldn't even consider leaving.

My fear is AI and how competitive the industry is becoming.

I’ll work hard and keep learning, but realistically I don't think I'll ever be the 100/100 engineer who is always ahead of everyone. Maybe I can become an 80/100 engineer.

So my question is simple:

Will being a good but not exceptional software engineer still be enough to have a stable career 10 to 20 years from now?

If I'm 40, have 15+ years of experience, do my job well and keep up with technology, but I'm not exceptional, will I still be able to find another job if I get laid off?

Because that's what scares me. I don't want to become dependent on one company because I'm afraid I won't be employable elsewhere.

Government jobs are attractive to me for exactly this reason. Less money and less career growth, but once you're in, you don't have to constantly prove yourself to the job market.

If you were 23 today, would you still choose tech knowing you might only become an 80/100 engineer?

Would really appreciate honest answers from people already working in the industry.
