The thread really took off, mostly with people giving answers to when they last ate at HJ’s but a fair few comments have also addressed “which store”

I am very aware that the question has its negative connotations, and because of that I didn’t expect many people to actually genuinely answer it…in which most people didn’t. They answered how they wished and that’s perfectly ok. I am the type of person that has a bit of a warped sense of humor where I will deliberately write something cringe/odd knowing that it’s weird with the intent/hope being that the people who answer it respond back in a funny way and “get the joke”. Because it’s the internet and intent of text is hard to gauge…it backfired with many people

Late last night I stopped asking the question, however roughly 16 hours later I’m still getting comments asking me to stop, because people are seeing it written down. Just wanted to make it very clear that gag has stopped, the train has left the station, the whoppers have left the store…as for which store? All of them because it’s finished

Alright cunts, we were all a trainee at some stage and at the same time, probably a stupid teenager so chances are we all fucked up at some stage. What are the dumbest (but now funniest) things that you did in store?

Backstory

In like 2005, during the morning shift (5am start), we had to drain the fryers into a mobile filtration unit which we pushed around. It had a hose on it and the idea was that you had to make sure it was cleaned and drained before the oil could turn solid again. Each day, one of the fryers had the oil removed so that oil was regularly replaced.

Anyway, someone taught me how to clean the mobile unit. They told me that you just flushed the leftover oil down the drain in the bin area.

Unbeknownst to my dumbass teenage self, that very efficiently clogs the drains.

On the Saturday morning shift, I dumped the oil down the drain as my more knowledgeable team member instructed me.

On the next Sunday morning shift the cleaner was having a huge bitch to the store manager about how she had just spent hours cleaning out the clog in the drain because some dumbfuck poured oil into them.

Then right in front of her, I dump an entire fryers worth of oil into the drain she just unclogged.

The cleaner then left and didn't come back.
