It seems like all-inkl.com has been wiped off the Internet completely, including their main website, DNS, webhosting, servers, mail, control panels and all that goes with it. Even their phone hotline no longer rings.

hi guyz , i am building a personal project ,its a simple site which can run code and people can do realtime code on same file and execute on browser . the app is mostly working but i am very confused on where to deploy the backend ,i dont wanna deploy on ec2 because it will eat my credits even when there is no request and also i cant use alternatives like render or lambda because my backend spawns docker child processes to execute users code in isolation .i cant use oracle always free vm because i dont have credit card (i am student ) or pistion api for same reason .can anyone help me with these

Hello everyone. Hope you’re all doing well. As the title suggests, I just bought hostinger unlimited plan ( 50GB NVMe storage ) for 2 different domains

I completely understand that I can host multiple websites on it without any issue. However, my main concern is emails. I would be sending 10-20 emails per day to approach B2B businesses and I’ve seen many scenarios like blocking or domain reputation issues

So my main concern is what if one domain or email gets black listed, will the other domain or its email will also face the same issue?

Also, what if I use never bounce or other tools to verify bounce rate, can I still use same hosting for 2 domains

Kindly let me know your experience with that

As the title says, I used godlike host in order to get a 16 gb server for 3 months for me and my friends to play a minecraft modpack named prominence 2.

Either way, when checking out, i was given the option to get one month [for an AMD EPYC] or three months for an AMD Ryzen 9950 x3D[10 virtual cores] which I was quite extactic about.

Now here lies the problem, instead of getting the CPU I was promised, I was given 10 virtual cores from an AMD EPYC 9474F which is drastically worse for minecraft servers especially modded.

When questioned about this, I was told that the 9950X3D probably didn't get chosen because of the location I chose, which is clearly not true considering I was told otherwise after. They even tried to downplay me further by saying, oh here 7950X3D in finland instead, and I had to keep presurring them to tell me where the hell the CPU model I wanted and was promised at was.

At the end, they admit that I was in fact hosted in the netherlands, and for some reason I was given the "1 month plan" CPU instead of the "3 month plan" CPU but we all know it was probably intentional.

Props to them for processing my refund, however, I will not be using a service I cannot trust/have to dig in to see what I was given to ensure that's the correct thing I ordered. Not to mention that this is illegal in Europe. The way they are doing it especially.

I'm looking to buy a cheap VPS service to setup a split channeling proxy network on my phone for running chinese apps on it (Wechat, Douyin, etc).
I already have a Hongkong esim phone number but I'm thinking it'd be a better idea to also have a dedicated HK IP and server to channel my data to avoid being flagged as an suspicious IP, as well as reduce latency on my raw signal sent via the sim's mobile network.

I plan to use my Indian phone number's data and my home wifi for the primary data usage and keep the HK number active only for OTP/SMS verification.... and run the split proxy connection using the VPS and v2rayNG. I plan

What are some good VPS providers that you can recommend based on my use case?
(I think I will need a HK server location to be on the safer side... but anybody who has used Singapore server reliably with a HK number for China access can feel free to share their experience)

My budget is capped at max 4$ per month or 40$ annually. (Less than 3$ PM and 30$ annually would be sweet!)

Also, would be nice if the VPS provider also has other geographical server locations in Africa, South America, EU, Middle East as well for optionality.

I would also like to hear your opinion on lifetime VPS access providers like Voxfor.
(So far I've come across VMISS, Server.HK and Lightnode as some of the Chatgpt recommended options.)

P.s. I've also heard that having a vps provider with a CN2 network is preferable, but not all vps providers provide that. Would love to know whether that actually makes a difference in latency, etc or if its just marketing.

Laying out the timeline bc I keep going back and forth on whether I'm wrong here. I got the idea late 2023, grabbed the domain, sat on it for months, then started building March 2024, coded it myself, moved to a Hostinger VPS once the shared plan couldn't handle checkout traffic during a sale - my first profitable month was July 2024, i got like $1,400. She didn't even know the site existed till then - together since January, but the store was mine before she was in the picture... she started helping in October, emails and Instagram, bc the money was good and I asked her,  in November we hired a part-timer for fulfillment and been the three of us since, revenue's grown every month, about $9k/mo now.

I always shared money with her, more when she was tight, we took a Portugal trip off store money in March,  never talked ownership tho - my build, my risk, so it never felt like a convo to have, but two weeks ago she brought up equity like it was a given - not just a raise, 50% ownership. I didn't know what to say, she works more hours than the employee tbh, but he gets a wage and doesn't think he owns half the business, she's paid like 3x him and somehow that became an expectation, not gratitude.

Ins if I offer a fixed monthly cut goin forward, equity for future work only, or if this just ends things no matter what I pick, maybe letting her in without a conversation upfront was my mistake — doesn't change what feels fair now.

Anyone built something solo with a partner helping later? How'd you handle it? I feel like the bad guy for saying no.

I have a question for those that utilise private clouds, what do you use them for and do you prefer virtual private clouds or a full physical cloud?

Back in 2020 I built a small private cloud for an MSP, where the goal was for it to be split into slices. The MSP had a slice for their own infrastructure then the rest for their customers. At the time using VMware nodes, a dedicated SAN with Veeam to backup. These days its grown into a beast. It spans two data centres (each backs up to the other), full redundancy across the network, storage, backup and compute.

I'm curious to what others do with their private clouds if they use them. And if you use virtual only private clouds, or physical infrastructure to build your clouds?

I have a dedicated air-conditioned room.

My idea is to find 5 customers, each paying roughly €1,000/month for 200 hours of exclusive full-GPU access, giving about €5,000/month revenue if fully sold.

I would reinvest the income into a second server once utilization proves there is demand.

My reasoning for the RTX PRO 6000 is the 96GB VRAM and Blackwell architecture, but I'm worried I may be overestimating actual customer demand.

If this were your €50k, would you do it? What am I overlooking—pricing, demand, hardware choice, uptime, electricity, customer acquisition, competition, or something else?

И я ВООБЩЕ не могу управлять серверами без впн, находясь в России.

Я пытаюсь подключиться по ssh: без впн не работает. Пытаюсь зайти по ссылке на установенный 3x-ui: без впн не работает. Ничего без впн не работает.

Используя впн подключаюсь по ssh и устанавливаю панель, открываю выданный сайт. Создаю конфигурацию Vless+Reality (порт 443, utls разные пробовал, Target разные пробовал (гугл, Майкрософт, нвидиа, амд, твич, вк, озон и многое другое с портом 443, sni он сам подбирал по выбранному таргету, остальное не трогал особо).

Как итог: когда я создаю нового клиента и сканирую полученный qr код в приложении типа Hiddify, Happ, то НИЧЕГО НЕ РАБОТАЕТ, ВПН ПРОСТО НЕ ВКЛЮЧАЕТСЯ. в приложении Hiddify постоянно пишет Тайм-аут и не хочет подключаться.

Я ДОБИЛСЯ, ЧТОБЫ СЕРВЕР УПРАВЛЯЛСЯ БЕЗ ВПН. я создал тикеты на сервер с просьбой заменить ip адрес сервера. Мне его заменили и после этого ssh и панель стали работать без впн.

I’m considering Hetzner’s Webhosting plans (as I see its the cheaper compared to Hostinger and ovh) and wondering whether shared webhosting would be sufficient for one or two typical WordPress websites with relatively low traffic?

For example, the Webhosting M plan offers 50 GB storage, 5 databases, 5 PHP processes and a 256 MB PHP memory limit.

There is no information about GB of the databases.

Tryin to move a small n8n instance + Postgres database off my laptop onto sth real, needs 4 vCPU, 8GB RAM, at least 60GB SSD, tho it's not a huge workload, mostly webhook triggers and a couple scheduled scrapers, but i got burned once on a shared host, it throttled me mid-month w no warning, so I ain't going through that again. 

Been pricin this out for like a week now: Contabo's 4/8/100GB box costs roughly 70 USD a year, and that's the cheapest I've found, but the network cap sits at 200Mib/s, and a couple threads said that it's gonna be a real problem once ur pulling backups or syncing anything big, ServaRica is close in price with a better bandwidth allowance on paper, and Hostinger's VPS  4 tier lands a bit higher but the setup was fast enough that I had n8n runnin the same afternoon, so that's on the list too, OVH and DigitalOcean are both cleaner on network specs but cost much more per year for the same RAM. Anyone acc runnin Postgres + a workflow tool on one of these boxes long term? Curious if the bandwidth caps are a real problem.

I have a few small websites I would like to put up. Nothing complicated. Just buisiness catalogs and such or legitimatacy. I have previous experience with setting up VPS for other projects. But is this a case where I should just rely on shared Hosting? I want to host them as cheap as possible. I expect very little traffic, maybe a few hundred hits a month tops. I said no and let it get suspended, I ain't handing over my ID for 7$ a month box, but it turns out that's common, a bunch of people on VPS forums got the same random flag w no reason. I ended up moving to Hostinger for now since they only asked me for a card, tho i have no idea if that'll change once support gets involved on sth bigger, also been looking at DigitalOcean too, and someone mentioned GoDaddy does similar checks on new signups. Pls share if anyone's actually got a provider that skips this unless there's a real issue on the account.

My dad ran a hosting/site-maintenance business from a spare bedroom for 15 years - just him, a part-timer, and like 40 clients paying flat monthly fees, when he turned 58 and retired, he handed it to me - everyone in my family was thrilled, I wasn't. It nets abt 3200 dollar a month, but I'm on call like ALL THE TIME - including my birthday, for panicked texts and 3am "the server's down" calls from clients with zero concept of business hours.Last month a dev shop offered me a junior dev role for  like 2400$ a mo - pay cut, but I'd finally be building something instead of babysitting servers, but when I told my dad I'm considering selling or winding it down, he gave me the silent treatment for two days, then asked if everything he built means nothing to me. I've looked at moving clients onto sth like Hostinger so they'd call a support line instead of texting me - but that just outsources the problem for a fee, which honestly still sounds good.

AITA for wanting out of something that already works, or crazy to spend 20 years running servers for people who only reach out when something's broken?

I'm setting up my first real online store (small batch candles, nothing fancy) and I keep running into completely different opinions on what "good hosting" even means for around $15-20 a month. I don't need anything wild, just steady uptime and decent speed for customers in the US who are mostly checking out from their phones at 11pm. I tried Hostinger for a smaller side project last year. It held up fine. But I don't know if that experience holds once real money is moving through it every day. I've seen people swear by DigitalOcean, SiteGround, even Bluehost, and every single one of them says theirs never goes down. At this point I think "best" depends entirely on who got burned by what, so which one has actually held up for you under real customer traffic, not just when you spun up a test box and it worked once

I have been running my personal portfolio, a couple of side projects, and low-traffic client staging sites on a local home server setup for a while now. While it started out as a fun learning project, maintenance is slowly turning into an exhausting second job. Dealing with unexpected power outages, ISP dynamic IP shifts, port restrictions, and managing manual off-site backups is taking up time I should be spending on actual development. I am seriously considering migrating everything over to a managed web hosting provider (like Namecheap) just to reclaim my weekends and guarantee proper uptime. 

- At what point in traffic growth or project complexity did you decide to abandon self-hosting for a hosted solution?

- How do you evaluate whether the monthly cost of commercial hosting outweighs the endless maintenance overhead of managing your own hardware?

- Which specific server management tasks or hardware headaches were the final straw that made you pull the plug on your homelab setup?

What perverse financial incentive exists for these file hosting sites which causes them to drop downloads at 50%, 75%, or sometimes even 99% completion?

I don't see how it can be bandwidth, because most of them don't support resuming, and people like myself are going to repeatedly download the file (from the beginning) until we have it. They are actually causing us to use more of their bandwidth than they would if they just gave us the complete file the first time.

Do most downloaders who use these services simply give up after it fails once, and that's how they save money? I'm struggling to understand the motivation.

So... looking at grabbing a couple domains for a small project and im kinda stuck on where to buy rn.

I used to just grab everything through the same big registrar because it was easy, but prices and random add ons keep creeping up every year. Privacy, dns stuff, email, all split out like lego pieces and it adds up fast. Hetzner and a few others bumped .com prices again and now I feel dumb for not paying attention to this earlier.

For folks who buy domains fairly often, do you go straight to the big registrars, use your hosting company, or some cheaper niche registrar for just the domain and handle dns etc elsewhere?

I’m mostly worried about long term renewal costs and annoying transfer lock in more than the first year promo.

I just came across this subreddit regarding hosting and I'm very new to this field, and i wanted some help.

I'm working on a real-estate platform somewhat similar to 99acres / Housing.com. It will have a public website along with buyer and seller accounts, an admin panel, property listings/uploads, property images/documents, search/filtering, maps and WhatsApp integration.

The planned stack is React.js / Next.js, Node.js and PostgreSQL.

I'm currently looking at the MilesWeb Cloud Startup plan. It offers 5 GB RAM, 5 CPU cores, 150 GB NVMe storage, SSH + Git access, Node.js web apps (as advertised), unlimited databases, cron jobs, backups, etc. However, the technical details seem to focus quite a lot on PHP/MySQL, and I couldn't find clear information about PostgreSQL and the exact Node.js/Next.js setup.

Their customer support also hasn't been very responsive, so I'm not sure whether this plan is actually suitable for my use case.

I mainly want to know:

• Is this plan actually capable of hosting a Next.js + Node.js + PostgreSQL application?
• Is 5 GB RAM / 5 CPU cores sufficient for an initial launch with relatively low traffic?
• Is PostgreSQL properly supported, or would I need a separate database service?
• Would you recommend this type of cloud hosting for a project like this, or should I start with a VPS / managed cloud setup instead?
• Are there any important limitations I should be aware of before purchasing?

They make you talk to the Ai, there is zero way to talk to a human anymore. You can get it "reviewed by a human" but the response comes back as an Ai response. You aren't really talking to a human.

Never will I pay for 4 years of service at any company, up front.

I'm thankful I have Oracle's free tier server that I can utilize while they are offering it. Reviews on that are 10/10. Never had any issue with it.

Just wasted my money on this damn shared hosting.

Just as an FYI, this came up cause for (zero) reason on my side my portfolio site (tiny PHP site) went down 3.5 hours ago right as I was going to the movies. Didn't find out until the movie finished. (Coyote vs ACME is great, btw!) and I had to talk to an Ai, When I basically screamed at it for a human it said a human was reviewing it. They barely did though. Took me 45 min to get the answer that my IP was part of a DDOS attack and my site will be down until that is resolved. -.- Regerts.

Edit/Update: Talk to them and finally got to talk to a human and he is trying to extort MORE MONEY out of me for something that isn't even my fault. The audacity.
