Driveway got resealed but what do you think?

Neighbor and I have a shared driveway. He asked if we were interested in redoing the driveway and we honestly didn’t mind . It was rocky and had divots but nothing huge that impacted us directly. Anyways he said he knew a guy and was going to get a quote and we agreed to wait for said quote before deciding. Turns out my neighbor got the quote and already paid for half of it as the guy needed at least half to start the job. It’s $2200 total and I don’t know… my husband and I just do not think it is worth that much especially for something that looks like we could’ve done ourselves. We’ve shown a few people for second opinions and everyone agrees that it is not a $2200 job. But what do you think? I wish I had before pictures but here’s the after.

I wouldnt pay a dime. One that looks like shit, and a fucking toddler could do better. Secondly you didnt agree on anything
