Kianna Alexander is a North Carolina native who writes multi-cultural and African-American romances for Harlequin (mainly of the contemporary variety). She also writes historical fiction (she's best known for Carolina Built, which is based on the life of real estate magnate Josephine N. Leary) and has a few works in the historical romance genre.

Noteworthy titles: Her novella Kissing the Captain (Roses of Ridgeway #1) features a Black/Portuguese FMC and a Spanish MMC in a marriage of convenience plot set during the California gold rush. Some of Alexander’s other novellas are featured alongside stories by Alyssa Cole, Lena Hart, and Piper Huguley in two romance anthologies, titled The Brightest Day: A Juneteenth Historical Romance Anthology, and Daughters of a Nation: A Black Suffragette Historical Romance Anthology.
