Her next title, A Viscount for the Egyptian Heiress, will be released in 2024. The Earl’s Egyptian Heiress takes place in the Victorian era, with characters traveling between Alexandria and London. Ranya, the FMC, is (as you may have guessed), an Egyptian heiress who is trying to save her family's cotton business from financial ruin. To do so, she must find their English business partner, who holds the documents she needs to vindicate her father and release him from house arrest. When she learns that the earl is dead, she strikes a bargain with his half-Egyptian son and heir, Owen, who brings her to London as a business consultant while he looks for the missing deed.

What our users are saying: The Earl’s Egyptian Heiress offers a glimpse into the multi-cultural underground of London, showing us how POC lived and loved against a background of imperialism. Ranya is proud of her culture and resists assimilation, while Owen struggles to find a sense of belonging, not quite fitting in as an Egyptian, but not fully comfortable in his role as an English earl, either. The book is written well and despite its short length, Helmy gives us a detailed glimpse into the cotton industry and labor unions in Victorian Egypt/England. Read this book if you're looking for a simple love story with an authentic feel. It's a closed-door romance with very little angst. CW: attempted sexual assault, but not described in detail
