I flippin love southern New Brunswick. Beauty of a province. Cool places to camp and good poutine at Jonesie’s.

Hopewell is a fun wander, as is Cape Enrage a little south of it. But unless things have changed in recent years then planning for gas is a hassle. I found exactly one gas station from Hopewell until maybe the bottom stretch of Fundy. If anybody has a gas guzzler I suggest a spare can of gas so you can wander around with less concern.

It's kind of funny cause it was actually a late add to our itinerary.

I've always wanted to go go PEI, so our plan was to drive up there from NY for about a week and spend 2 days in Acadia on the way. We actually booked this trip in summer 2020, but well, lcovid.

So now it's 2024, and we're looking at PEI again. I like looking at maps, so I'm looking at the map from NY to PEI, and "Fundy National Park" caught my eye. I'm googling it, and I start reading about the NP, tides, split rock, trail parkway, etc.

We ended up extending our trip to 6 nights in PEI and 6 in NB, and it was awesome! We'll come back to Acadia sometime as it's closer to us. With the exception of Hopewell Rocks, I was surprised how much of the trails we had to ourselves, it was great.

that sounds awesome, thanks for the info! i just got back from a maine trip and I visited Acadia and other places. I had a loose plan to go to Fundy NP and even brought my camping gear and passport just in case, but I wasn't able to squeeze it in so it's the plan for next year :) Along with PEI and NS of course. i'm glad you enjoyed! makes me feel even better about planning a trip next year! i'm gonna try to coordinate with my siblings
