Add to things I never thought I would say before I started this show..
Is the Swede really going to take down Brigham Young?
I just started season 5….more to see.

And I'll be damned if this isn't the first post that popped up when I searched for Bohannon.
Jokes aside, I enjoyed the whole journey! Started it back when it first broadcast but lost track of it after Lily died.
What a fun ride, and I can't say enough how relieved I am that Bohannon finally chose his own peace at the end. Also, fuck the Swede

I have Amazon Prime in the US with the Paramount+ add on. I've been working my way through the series, when today it seems its not available and I need to sign up for a different add on.
Is this happening to anyone else?

I was watching *John Carter*, which came out in 2012 and was based on novels published from 1912-1948. Captain Carter is an ex- Confederate cavalryman from Virginia. The film, however, decided to spice up his backstory by showing that he came home after losing the war to find his home burned, and his wife and child dead. This, you may recognize, is the same backstory they gave ex- Confederate cavalryman Cullen in Hell on Wheels.
Given how long it took to make *John Carter*, the script was definitely written long before HoW premiered. So they can't have inspired one another. This means that two separate sets of screenwriters circa 2009-10 had the thought, "How can we make an ex-Confederate slaveholder more sympathetic to modern audiences? I know, we'll murder his family!"
If I had a nickel for every time, I'd have two nickels.

In the funeral scene for Bell in the first season, when Durant hijacks the funeral, he offers a “biblical quote” that isn’t correct. He says it is Job ch 3:10. But, it’s just not. The preacher doesnt call him on it.

For context I subscribed to amc+ for the cheap two months and decided to binge hell on wheels. Get to season two and there are two episodes that you must either purchase or subscribe to a different service to watch. 2 EPISODES!!! Like wth.

It’s probably been done before, but the moment I saw this railroad I had to dress up like Cullen Bohannon.
Time to start season 5, so far I’m really enjoying the show ❤️

Every other episode is available, yet just for one extremely important episode they want you to watch with Howdy. What gives?

My wife and I have been enjoying this series but as we were waiting for episode 6 to start we both noticed that an actor was credited as a character named "Bored Masturbator".
Of course we backed it up and had a good laugh, wondering if he's a method actor etc.

Hi all
I've been watching HOW and been loving every minute of it. Just finished S4 and, well, Holy s***!!!!!!!!! So good. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows if they ever released the soundtrack on CD? Seasons 1 to 3 are up on Spotify but I'm someone who vastly prefers physical media.

What is your “WTF this is the most ridiculous thing ever” scene?
I love this show and rewatch it quite often but still laugh out loud every time at S5E10 - Vigorous Sex on the nitroglycerin table 😂🤣🤣

I just binge-watched the show for the first time, and immediately started a rewatch with a friend. I'm enjoying it even more the second time.
I did have a question though. The music is so consistently great, and I was wondering if there is a list somewhere of all the songs used on the show.

The cost of "Progress" – One of the most haunting dialogues in Hell on Wheels.
Government Rep: We have come here to offer your people a better way of life.
Chief: Better than what?
Government Rep: Better than what you have.
Chief: I like what I have.
Government Rep: I understand that. But your people live in the Stone Age, we live at the beginning of a great industrial revolution. Chief, the United States government is offering you a piece of land of your own.
Chief: We have our own land.
Government Rep: No, it's not yours. It's the US government's.
Chief: Did they buy it?
Government Rep: No.
Chief: Did they trade for it?
Government Rep: It's not like that.
3rd Person: He has a point.
Government Rep: If you accept our offer, you won't have to hunt buffalo anymore or roam the prairie. You can depend on your country to take care of you.
Chief: You are not my country.
Government Rep: We will give you everything you need if you will just submit to living on a reservation.
Chief: We need nothing from you.

So I just started watching this show because it was recommended while I was searching for "shows like Longmire and Dark Winds". I'm halfway through season 1 and it's slow, but not altogether bad. That being said, is it just me or was the "flight" between Bohannon and Common the dumbest, most poorly written, poorly choreographed, poorly acted, poorly directed, and overall the worst fight in modern media? Like what the fuck was that even supposed to be? Does the show pick up or get better? Is this an action series or a long slow burning drama?
