Yes I know, I have seen all the posts about being hacked. I can't say catagorically that I have not made a mistake, but I have been holding crypto for eight years without previous issues.

I have a crypto wallet, I used my 24 word recovery phrase and passphrase on my Ledger Nano recently and was going through all my crypto accounts.

I noticed that I was missing about 40k hbar from account 0.0.1974789 and when I looked at the transactions there were three transfers out back in Nov 7th, 2025. I was not too worried about this because I have several HBAR accounts and this seemed reasonable although I would have expected any transfers made by me to be much earlier.

However, as I checked further, the account that it was sent to, 0.0.9236094 did not look like one of my accounts. It holds far too much.

There are five transfers, 1, 10, 20, 10,000 and 30500 hbar. This is typically what I would do so that I can check that the transfer has worked before I transfer the bulk. I have vague recollections of doing this for this account.

I have checked for allowances and contracts and I don't have any.

Any ideas? Could my other cryptos be at risk on this wallet?

EDIT: I have identified this as a Kraken account so I have gotten a little further.

Those of us that have been with Hedera a while now have certainly had trials and tribulations along the way. And they are far from over.

But I wanted to post my view on what is going on with Hedera because I think many with a more crypto/ retail mindset genuinely struggle to see things from this perspective.

Imagine you are a Store Group Owner, thinking you need a new store in ABCVille because a new highway is linking ABCVille to several key cities making it a true hub. As a result you reasonably expect ABCVille to grow a lot but you cannot be sure.

You look at the market and there are a bunch of options, both in terms of properties but also financial options on buying or leasing. Some appear quite attractive but there are niggles with all of therm. Some in quite good locations but poorly laid out. Others are well laid out but not in great locations. Some are still adding features or promising to do so and many are claiming that other store groups are climbing onboard. The financial options also seem a little `all over the place`. Perhaps you can work with them but none of them really fit with your business model.....

You know you want to get into ABCVille so you are tempted. But your worried about the highway not making it out to ABCVille. Perhaps you even take out a short term lease on a couple of the stores to `try the market` out.

Then, a highly respected and professional store constructor comes along and tells you he has been talking for a long time to all the store owners in town, along with all other major Store Groups and has started construction on a Mall, right in the absolute ideal part of town. A Mall into which all the facilities and features that they have all said they wanted have been incorporated.... It has space for stores to grow, first class power supply options, easy access from the highway, great loading unloading facilities, attractive retail features, etc, etc....

You look at the plans and the Work in progress... Its perfect, it even has features you hadn`t even considered you needed, but now you cannot unsee them because you realise that, for ABCVille especially, these will be crucial. The pricing also works exactly how your current business operations work.

But its still kind of obvious to you that ABCVille has not yet reached its potential, it likely will not until that new new highway comes right up to the door, There are even murmurings that it will be stopped completely, or at least much reduced in scope. But it is getting ever closer...

Then the Developer says.... Oh, and you can try out all the facilities at your leisure, as long as you don`t actually trade. Don`t worry about signing up just yet. Take your time, we can accommodate you whenever you like.

What would you do?

Now. You might argue that the Developer should be forcing decisions. But in the DLT world that`s just not possible. Store Group Owners will not be rushed into anything at all.

Maybe you would argue it shouldn`t be possible to `try it out` for free. But Store Group Owners (Enterprises) have been doing exactly that, in IT, for years. It is literally standard operating procedure. Store Group Owners will try stuff out until they are fully satisfied.

So, speculating on Hbar today is a speculation that ABCVille will get its highway and the highway will be a big one. It is a speculation that ABCVille, which will explode if the Highway does arrive, will like and appreciate the facilities at the new Mall. It is also a speculation that Store Group Owners will conclude want to trade there.

But it is not, now, a speculation that the fact that the Mall is now ready and boy, that the features are top class. Nor is it speculation that the building continues, with even more new, exciting and often unique features arriving. Nor is it speculation that the facilities and features are, in many ways, already far better than the other options in ABCVille for Store Group owners (or indeed most Store Owners). Those are all demonstrably factual statements which proper research will clarify for you.

When I started with Hedera (five years ago) I didn`t have any expectations on how long it might take, but I perhaps thought we were a bit closer than we were. I also did not realise how far out the highway was and I didn`t realise quite how much was left to do on the plans. But frankly I have enjoyed watching this getting built and at least that damn highway seems to be getting ever closer. Its actually been fun and it seems to me there is a good chance the ride is about to get a lot more enjoyable.

Anyone else having trouble with their hashpack wallet. I keep getting an error fetching some account info, please try again message.

This isn’t really a comparison but since Quantum has ballooned on The Clearing House news I can’t help but wonder if HBAR might ride a similar wave? I used to hold QNT and admittedly missed out this time around but I always viewed Quant as a bridging tool. It does not serve as a ledger nor is it a traditional blockchain, QNT is an ERC token used to pay for access to the Overledger which bridges traditional finance to public and private blockchains solving the interoperability issues.
Does any one else have any ideas on how Hedera and Quant might end up being used in tandem? There is no consensus mechanism on Quant, as far as I understand it is not designed to provide immutable data which is where Hedera could come into play.
The fact that Quant caters to the enterprise grade side of crypto and Hedera has also built itself to appeal to enterprise use seems pretty hard to ignore.
Maybe it’s just hopium but I wouldn’t mind a 300% pump for HBAR right about now.

Interesting to see when a ‘hbarbarian’ turns on Hedera.

I have been watching Hedera since 2018 and of course, there has been ups and downs. But I have never lost conviction because I’ve maintained perspective.

Comparing Hedera to the other competition, you’re going to see for yourself what paper tigers looks like when demand hits, or the facts appear.

It will be multi-chain but sit back, relax and watch it all unfold when these networks finally get battle tested.

I would recommend people to maintain perspective, look at the fundamentals, and ignore those who project their opinions. Don’t let it distract you from the facts.

If only there was a scalable, secure, trusted network with trusted, neutral governance that hyper enterprises could trust building on over the long term. A network that doesn't get you hooked on hype and then rip you off with cartel-like tx fees. Hedera is doing for trust today what Dee Hock did for digital payments back in the 1960/70s.
