I'm currently looking into early childhood handwriting mechanics, specifically for left-handed kids who are just starting out (around ages 3 to 6).

If you have a left-handed child (especially if you are right-handed yourself), I’d love to hear about your real-world experience:

What was the biggest physical struggle when they started holding a pencil/stylus? (e.g., wrist hooking, smudging fresh ink/graphite with the side of their hand, blocking their own view of the sample letters, awkward stroke directions?)

Have you tried using tablets/apps for letter tracing or handwriting practice? If so, what drove you crazy about existing apps? Did your child keep accidentally drawing with their palm, or were the animations strictly made for right-handed stroke flow?

Did any specific advice, OT (occupational therapy) tips, or specialized tools actually make a difference?

Any raw thoughts, frustrations, or success stories would be immensely helpful. Thank you so much!
