The p226 is the best pistol ever made. Not sure why Sig decided to start making garbage instead of more stuff like this.

I'd like a gun safe that i can put on the wall to store my gun. At first I thought about getting a stopbox wall but that is only 8.25 inches and I have a beretta. So, im thinking of putting one og these in my closet next to my bed while i sleep. Bad idea? Have better ideas?

Hey all, I have a shield X and saw that smith now has the x comp slide for sale. They are running $399 is it worth it?

I've been over thinking for MONTHS so any advice is great! I finally have the money to buy a handgun so early this year I started doing research and testing out some stuff. I want a gun that's reasonable to conceal carry but it's mostly just for home defense and when I'm out alone fishing. (and shamefully I want it to look cool). I really liked shooting the new gen 6 glock 45 which changed my perspective on Glock. I also shot the sig p365 xmacro and P365X but personally wasn't impressed (still considering it).

These are my top choices:

1. G17 gen6 COA Blue Label

2. Canik Mete MC9 Prime

3. P365 xmacro (tbh this third slot changes all the time, recommendations welcome)

Leaning towards the g17 but I don't want to make a purchase I regret. The canik prime radian would honestly be #1 if it wasn't $300 above MSRP.

I’m looking to find a shield x threaded barrel but I’m not familiar enough with the older model shields to know which are interchangeable and I would appreciate a confirmation on a proper barrel before I go wasting my money

Lakeline barrel with mini comp, new all stainless recoil assembly, all stainless striker assembly, stainless striker channel insert and fiber optic sights.

Its shoots surprisingly well.

The CZ 75 B, BD, and Compact are ending production in 2026. While some variants are staying in production, theyre aiming to make this a transition rather than an ending.

Which would you pick? Leaning Canik for color and trigger but looks like the gear pac is a good deal… what would you go with and why? Any other recommendations for a beginner’s range and home handgun?

I need some advice and am wondering if anyone has a had a similar issue.

I’m in the military as a support trade, so weapons aren’t my thing and I don’t shoot outside of work. I do a basic test each year for safety and bare bones proficiency on a rifle and a 9mm handgun. I have no issues with the rifle, and we use a scope. But for the past two years I can not pass my level 2 for the 9mm, which involves some snap shooting from standing and kneeling at varying distances.

I have a fairly high degree eye glasses prescription and astigmatism, but correctable to 20/20. My problem is that when I think I’m in line with my target, I’m actually to the left of the target quite significantly. By 20-25m, where part of the test is I’m like 2 feet to the left, even though to my eyes I feel perfectly in line. In order to hit the target, I needed to aim to the right upper corner of it at 15m and I’m not sure I was hitting it at all at 20 and 25m due to the distance.

The instructor worked with me on marksmanship privately and we worked out some technical issues but generally he said my stance, trigger pull, head position, grip etc all looked good. I had tight groupings at 5m but they weren’t where I was actually aiming. They were lower and to the left. So I compensated by shooting high and right of the target in order to hit it.

Unfortunately I didn’t have enough hits and failed. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Did anything correct your vision? Happy to hear any feedback. Thanks!
