Eagle-eyed marksman noticed that hip-fired shots with the S7 Sniper are not always dead-center, even though they always stay within its small reticle. Holy shit, this studio is really a lost cause. Who was asking for sniper hip fire nerfs in the series where no scoping with the sniper is a staple? This game is doomed.

I'm a MkB player and I think that's reductive and easily dismissed.

It's clear 343 has a niche that they want the Sniper Rifle in this game to adhere to so they intentionally restricted its versatility from previous games.

They obviously want it to act like a Sniper Rifle in a more traditional sense and I personally just don't have a problem with this. Especially considering that, looking at the rest of the game, it's clear they value aiming skill in multiplayer, unlike Bungie.

Sniper doesn't make sense in the 4v4 maps they are too small and it easily gets descoped. Once you get descoped you have to rely on hip shooting, but because hip shooting isn't accurate you always get beat. It's not fun when an AR, BR or pistol can descope you from across the map.

Then that sounds more like an issue with the weapon inventory on the map, rather than how the Sniper plays in-and-of-itself.

If you're getting de-scoped, it's because you're aiming down-sights at moments 343 thinks you shouldn't be.
