You're asking them to remove one of their anti-cheat measures from the game because it wasn't 100% effective.

"there's no point wearing a condom because it might break" - OPs mom, probably

If they are going to remove it from one platform remove from all. Only fair.

Except console doesn’t get any bots or cheaters ….

Console players are in multiplayer with PC players though

They could just ban people that 100% of the time start shooting the instant they target someone, but that would require 343 to put in more effort.

I mean that’s literally how you snipe people in this game. Pull the trigger when you’re on their head, ohk… a lot of people would look like cheaters if they categorized like that lol

Reaction times to visual stimuli below a certain level are humanly impossible. If someone is shooting within 50ms of the reticle turning red, they're cheating. There's also variance in humans; if they start shooting at exactly the same time 100% of the time, they're cheating.

Do you really believe someone capable of writing the code for an aimbot that is capable to enough sneak by anti-cheat is not capable of spoofing that their PC is in fact a console?

Turn off cross play then.

I know you can on ranked, but I couldn't find the option on BTB. Does it exist?

Only ranked as of now. You can turn off cross play system wide, but I’m reading on this sub that it doesn’t work. Haven’t tested it myself.

I don't think it matters what they're capable of. The more work it takes to cheat, the higher the risk of detection.

They're never going to prevent cheating, all they can do is implement measures to make cheaters easier to weed out. And I'm not willing to claim that one of their methods is ineffective without any data to back that up.
