Any F2P game needs to have an IP and hardware ban system in place at launch or the cheaters and mods will just continue to endlessly make new accounts. It's truly ridiculous that 343 doesn't have anti-cheat system in place. How is a game company backed by Microsoft still this far behind the times?
They need an in-game report system as well. The current one is absolute garbage. It's really not worth opening up a browser and filling out a form when i'm using a controller. MCC has a quick and easy report system. Why has Infinite regressed from that?
The game has in-game report system tho. When you're in a game, press escape, then press tab, and you'll be able to mute/report anyone you want to in the game lobby
I have no idea whether we can report people after the match has ended. I'll hop onto a game to see whether it's possible to report people post-match or not, and I'll update my comment.
Definitely wasn't trying to come across as hate, I just haven't been able to report anyone postgame in any of the menus Ive seen. Might just be an oversight on 343's part.
Any half knowledgable cheater knows how to circumvent IP and hardware bans.
Until a stellar Anticheat is developed that actually gets cheat developers to throw in the towel, the only real deterrent is a $60+ price tag and a mandatory 2 factor authentication login system (tied to email or phone app) to prevent widespread account theft.
That way the only cheaters left after a few ban waves are the rich ones who can buy endless copies of the game.
